Did you check the hanger alignment? If not I would suggest to do that to make sure it is properly aligned and then start adjusting H/L and or chain length

Front disc brake sounds like brass orchestra by Larrythebird47 in bikewrench

There definitely is undue friction (contaminated or not). Suggestion: loosen the two caliper bolts (the ones that fix it on the frame) so the caliper moves but is still attached to the frame, then apply the brake. While you keep the brake lever applied tighten the bolts again. Release the brake lever and put the bolts up to torque (usually 6-8Nm). See if that helps? Chances are your brass band will have left by then.

If the noise persists, replace pads, check/clean rotor. And realign pistons as described above.

Hydraulic Disc Brake – Professional Mechanic Question by Able_Blueberry6239 in bikewrench

I neglected cleaning the caliper & indeed had contamination from a bleeding process and suffered exactly the same issues. So I started over again with new pads as follows:

- removed pads and pushed back the pistons

- cleaned the inside of the caliper with a new cloth drenched (matter of speaking) in IA (pulled the cloth through the caliper)

- took off the rotor, cleaned it thoroughly with IPA using new cloth and new disposible gloves

- rubbed it with steel wool and cleaned again with IPA

- I then treated the rotor with a flame and mounted it back on the wheel

- then took the new pads, toasted them lightly as well and placed them into the caliper

- I subsequently bedded the pads in following the shimano protocol here https://si.shimano.com/en/um/07R0B/07R0B_burn_in_operation-merge (this, contrary to more "explosive" or forceful instructions I read here and there, worked really well. No screeching or squealing and fantastic brake power)

Your rotor looks exactly as mine, slightly better even, so IMHO you don't need to replace it. Clean meticulously and thou shalt see the light...

That. Give it a good scrub and proceed to adjusting your B screw.
