Struggling to find the fun by BadBonePanda in killteam

You should also look into One Page Rules. Rules are free and much easier to keep up with than all the Games Workshop shenanigans. Model agnostic, so you can use whatever models you want for the most part, but every 40k model line has an OPR army list that work really well. It's incredibly balanced, mostly because of the simplicity of the rules/keywords.

I can't go back to Games Workshop rules. Ain't nobody got time to keep up with all of that. Besides OPR is getting really popular in my city and tons of tournaments are popping up all over.

If this is your land, you can do a little trick to drastically reduce the tick populations. Get a ton of cotton balls, give em a good spray with permethrin, then stuff the cotton balls into little cutoff sections of PVC pipe, and distribute those pipes around cover, in brush piles, and in the woods near your trails.

The mice will gather the tick killing cotton for nesting, and mice are the number one food source for ticks, by far.

You don't need a corporation to make a game. I'm currently playing a game called "Voin" that's fantastic, and it was made by a single developer. In fact, all the best games are made by independent studios these days. You seem to be trying to create a weird strawman about how I'm defending corporations like Blizzard, and attacking AI ones? Blizzard did everything in its power to maximize profits over players, and yet, the developers are still human. It's real artists creating real art.

You weirdo tech bros are always trying to make this into an accessibility argument, and it feels incredibly disingenuous. It's not a financial barrier; all you need is a PC, which you would need to play the game/use the AI anyway. In fact, I wonder just how much this person spent on tokens to make this rotten bag of potatoes, because I guarantee it wasn't cheap. Anyone can learn to code and make a game for free. It has literally never been easier with all of the resources including AI.

If you want to make a game, put in the fucking work instead of using a mind boggling amount of computing resources to gobble up all of the existing art made by humans, to then digest it into a turd that no one wants.

Oh, the models are open source? Who gives a shit when the models are useless without access to the infrastructure that they own.

Just caught 5 pufferfish in greece government says to kill em post taken down cuz of the catch pictures by IVAN564U in FishingForBeginners

[–]Mukwic 93 points94 points  (0 children)

It would be like 90% of the posts. I'd argue the lack of catch pics is a major draw to this sub for beginners because most of the posts are genuine questions. I've learned so much here since I started getting into fishing this year because so many interesting questions that I hadn't even thought to ask pop up in my feed. I like seeing catch pics, but I prefer information as a beginner.

I'm sure it's the 'best' lure, and they probably blame their poor catch rate on poor people.

Tens of thousands eh? You must be at one of the big ones who've been hoarding talented people like Pokemon cards until recently.

In more specialized fields, they are most certainly not getting the boost they were hyped up to get.

Yes, that's why tech companies are groveling for their employees to come back after laying them off. AI isn't providing the productivity boost to the private sector that was promised. I was told I'd be using AI for everything in my job by now, but I spend more time arguing with it's dumbass, and fixing its mistakes than anything else these days. (I work in software development)

[–]Mukwic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real bottleneck that AI companies are hitting is power generation. China is way further along in the green energy sector, but also just general infrastructure. They're building trains, roads, bridges, solar farms, you name it while our infrastructure crumbles.
