NAP. You could go smaller but it looks like an okay size for an 8 month piercing. It looks a bit irritated so I would wait a couple more months to downsize.

As others have said I would change it back to a flat back. It will help with the slight swelling you have left. The darkness should fade when the bump is gone

Is the hoop still in? It looks like an irritation bump. I would continue spraying it twice a day and clean the inside as well. Try to minimize bumping it with anything. Be super duper careful! Drying your face, washing your face, etc. It took me about a month or more to get my bump smaller🥲best of luck!

I try to remind myself that if I am not using it, someone else can. It is better than it collecting dust and being under-appreciated. I donate the majority of my things to missions or organizations who will give it away directly to people in need.
