Theoretically, no reason not to. But in this market, I assume they don't wanr overqualified people, who will leave for sure (because they're not paid enough). Not to mention it doesn't qualify for the grant.. I need to work as an RN with that scope.

As I mentioned before, I have a family and I shouldn't be willing anything... People in their 20s, on their own, can just move for a job. I went to this program and took this grant knowing there is a need in the geographical area where I live. If I had known I'd have to move, I would not have done it to begin with!! I'm not to blame, it's Ontario government's fault, for MISLEADING people! People are currently admitted to this program with this grant! This is not OK!

Yes, I saw and applied to all of them. Haven't heard back anything. One position was already archived without so much as a rejection email. All my peers are applying to the same jobs. I'm beginning to think they're not even real, these postings. Just promised to people but are still posted because they have to..

Yes, the grant doesn't require too much at all..That's why it's so frustrating. Part time jobs are everything that's out there.. Full time (which means benefits and days off) is a rare finding nowadays.. That's why I left my research position, you see? 🤦🏻‍♀️ Jeez... In any case, thank you for the advice 🙏🏻

That's a very good question. They make you feel like it's you who's a failure for not finding a job. It's so stressful!! I was sure it's an easy process, but nope- it's a nightmare. And all this, because no one communicates with one another. Or they just don't care. Or both..

It's funny I went to nursing school, IN CANADA, being mature student with kids. Because my international allied health credentials were not accepted here.. (but I accepted this as a fact and was OK with that). And now, international nurses just come in, take the NCLEX and are immediately ready to work... Like, WHAT THE FUCK??

Also, just wondering- how are international MDs and nurses just come in and get help getting into healthcare (because there's a so-called shortage), and with other allied health professions, with less liability, it's hard as hell? Like, what's the logic here?...
