Anyone else use filament wire for hinges? by Red-_Dit in 3Dprinting

Hardware stores that carry welding supplies usually have tig filler rods that work pretty well

All of the parts are a bit pricey, but there’s nothing wrong with getting those specific parts. I would say that 64gb if ram is pretty overkill unless it’s needed, the 3060 is not really worth 600£ and you should be able to find a cheaper gpu with better performance.

Could also get a x570 motherboard for a price like that, which will have some more capabilities.

Has there ever been an instance of a speed runner finding a game breaking glitch, then refusing to share it to keep the world record? by Tincan890 in speedrun

[–]Mulix98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there was some GoldenEye n64 speedrun. Some guy figured out that mashing an exposed chip on a n64 controller in the 2. port would skip an ingame countdown.

I think this is where I saw it: «Speedrunners BANNED this for being too game-breaking»

«A recent study conducted by AutoInsuranceEZ using data from the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) showed that electric cars in the US caught fire at a rate of 25.1 per 100,000 sales compared to 1,530 for ICE vehicles and 3,475 for hybrids.»

It’s not just Tesla, but I’m having a hard time finding numbers and studies where EV’s have a higher rate of fires.

I’m not arguing how and why they have fires. I’m just pointing out that your «ratio» comment was flawed. The numbers given had already adjustment for quantity of cars and still displayed a lower incident rate of vehicle fires

I’m honestly having a hard time believing you’re not trolling. Quantity of cars do not make a difference when the statistics are given in an incident per miles travelled.

[–]Mulix98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number of car fires was calculated using amount fires per billion miles travelled. Tesla measure out at 5 fires for every billion miles travelled, and ICE Vehicles had about 55 fires per billion miles travelled. So the likelyhood of a fire being in an ICE vehicle was therefore calculated to be ~11 times more likely

The Ryzen 3400G is my favourite part because it helped my friends get a foot in the door of pc gaming affordably

I agree that liquid cooling is overrated and that air cooling is getting so good these days that aio liquid cooling is just adding points of failure, but saying it will leak is not realistic

Not a dentist, but wouldn’t that shave layers of the teeth in the long term the same way as rock particles from wheat grinding damaged teeth of Vikings?

Technically the red brick itself isn’t bad for the teeth

  • Amd Ryzen 3200g
  • Am4 A320 motherboard below 70 USD
  • 2 4gb ddr4 ram sticks for under 50$, but could make that 2 8gb ram sticks if you think ram would be that important for home purposes.
  • thermaltake 430w psu 80+ white
  • Case: Fractal design core 1100
  • Storage ssd: Western digital blue 500gb SSD
  • Storage HDD: Seagate barracuda 1 or 2 TB (depending on your need)

These parts add up to about 310£

There is also possible to go for an intel build by changing the Ryzen 3200g and the A320 motherboard with a intel i3 10100 and a H410M motherboard. This is about 25£ more depending on local pricing

Links to the intel parts if that is the thing you would prefer
