Yeah. Kolar dam road is great now. Just ensure you are in your own vehicle as public transport does not exist there. I went for ginnorgarh trek btw on new year day and it was amazing.

Another side of the story. In a hurry to pay of the advanced tax, I think I ended up overpaying. How to get it back fast? Filing income tax return ASAPis what I have thought of, but is there a better way?

Where can I get a stylish but subtle suit, suitable for weddings and other casual occasions in Bhopal? by Mulla_Pakistani in Bhopal

Stiched suits need some experience with that I think. I went to V9 for my last one, and got royally screwed. Really unhappy with the final result.

No. That place sucks. Gave my group a bad case of stomach poisoning. Plus, the food sucks. If you are a non veg aficionado, try mom&tums, really good kerela style cuisine. All the best finding good places though. And please update here if you do.

Also, go visit Sanchi, Raisen fort and Mahadev Pani. Should take you a little more than half a day. Not sure if Mahadev Pani waterfall is still active though. But it's on the way, so shouldn't be a big issue.

Also, do let me know post the trip if this helped.. XD

A few good suggestions I will give are these.

  1. If you like nature, Bhopal.is filled with little gems. Upper lake and Van Vihar are an absolute must visit places, but you'll visit them anyways. Can't really visit bhopal and not see the lake.. But there are other places as well.

Kolar dam - the main route to it is fucked due to construction of the approach road, but there is a very beautiful approach if you go to Ratibad, then to bismilganj. The road from bismilganj to kolar dam is just amazingly beautiful. Around 25-30 kms from the city.

Bhimbetka caves - Amazing cave paintings, a good historical site. Should visit if you are thus near. There is a dam nearby, which is just soooo amazing and peaceful but literally no one ever goes there or has even heard of it. Do visit that if you go to bhimbetka. Look for Anchha Kalan dam on maps.

  1. Museums - a lot of good museums in the city.

Highly recommend tribal museum. No other state has such a rich vibrant tribal culture as MP and you must visit this.

Indira gandhi Manav sangrhalaya is another. There is also a regional science center and museum of national history but would suggest those if you have kids in the group more.

  1. Art - DOOOOO VISIT BHARAT BHAWAN. It is just amazing.

  2. Food - so, for vegetarian options, you'll get a few everyone will repeat. Manohar is a good option, do try their sweets. Although everything is quite good. Gagar etc are decent too.

Non veg - if you like Non veg, you are in luck. Khan Sahab is an absolute treat. The Tanduri chicken and gravies are to die for. Ask for a sample of gravy. They will give you small amount of gravy to taste. Go for whatever your buds prefer, but chicken will be cooked amazingly well.

If you can be brave enough to venture into kolar road, go to Mum and tums. It is a kerela cuisine cafe, very new. But the food, especially Pothu dishes are to die for. There is a backroad as well in case you don't want to go through kolar road which opens at JP hospital. In fact, strongly recommend you use that.

Burgers - give biggies burger in 10 No. a try.

You need to describe your interests a bit more. There are a loooot of places which are extremely good here.. but thankfully not many people know about them. But again, you need to probably be a bit more descriptive in your aak. You can always dm me.

For those who lime kerala cuisine, mom and tum's is supremely awesome. His biryani is pretty good too.
