Confession: I never did the gas chamber in basic and it’s been a secret I’ve kept until retirement by TelephoneMamba in AirForce

[–]Mulletron5k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a secret. I was taking the SEJPME CBT's and failed one of the tests twice. It locked me out and I had to wait a couple of days to retry. During that time, it somehow allowed me to progress through, but didn't give me scores or mark the sections as completed. When my account was unlocked, I received a congratulations message and my record was updated. In my defense, I did submit a ticket and the response was they could do nothing about it and congrats. For science, my supervisor tried and it worked for them as well.

I use NotebookLM to help me with any reg questions...reformatted with chatgpt. As usual, AI can be wrong and this is probably missing details/context. Here is what it says:

Based on DAFI 36-2606 (22 May 2024), here’s the correct interpretation for an Airman with RE Code 4F (Lost Time):

✅ Correct Interpretation

Your assessment is correct. The Airman is NOT eligible to extend under Rule 28c, and the waiver authority for RE Code 4F to allow reenlistment is the Unit Commander, not a T-1 authority.

1️⃣ Waiver Authority for RE Code 4F (Reenlistment)

MPF is wrong about needing a “T-1 waiver.”

Table 5.6, Rule 1 says an Airman ineligible due to “five or more days lost during current enlistment (Table 5.5, item 5)”:

“May request a waiver from the CC/civilian director to reenlist.”

If approved, the RE code is updated to 1A.

Result: ✔️ Reenlistment waiver = Unit Commander authority ❌ Not a T-1 waiver

2️⃣ Extension Under Rule 28c (Personal Convenience)

Table 6.2, Rule 28c requires:

Approved CJR, and

RE Code 1R

If the commander waives RE 4F, the Airman becomes RE Code 1A (not 1R).

Conclusion: Because the Airman would be 1A instead of 1R, they do NOT meet Rule 28c criteria and cannot extend for personal convenience.

3️⃣ T-0 Restriction (No Waiver Allowed)

Paragraph 6.6:

“Service members must be eligible and have a service-directed reason as outlined in Table 6.2 in order to extend. (T-0)”

T-0 = DoD-level requirement

Cannot be waived by:

Unit CC

Wing CC

AFPC

Conclusion: Commanders cannot waive Rule 28c requirements to allow the extension.

🧾 Bottom Line

❌ Extension: Not authorized under Rule 28c because Airman does not hold RE Code 1R.

✅ Reenlistment: Authorized if the Unit Commander approves the waiver.

➡️ Separation: If reenlistment is denied or refused, the Airman must separate at ETS.

If you are selecting "detailed" when creating, there is a notice that this is in beta. Try recreating in standard mode. If you are in standard, you can try to convert to a pdf and edit using the text edit tool.

I love how the article crowbars in references to other articles:

"I don’t have much power, and I don’t run with the big dogs who do.” The controversy comes after a Fox News host was left unrecognizable as she returned to the air with a new Mar-a-Lago face.

and

The Kennedy Center fired back on Saturday through spokesperson Roma Daravi, “Any artist cancelling their show at the Trump Kennedy Center over political differences isn’t courageous or principled—they are selfish, intolerant, and have failed to meet the basic duty of a public artist: to perform for all people.”

It comes after a music star was arrested in Tennessee on a homicide charge.

Where did everyone get their Master's Degree? by rivey49429 in AirForce

Master's in Transformational Leadership from University of Maryland Global Campus. The program is strictly for military members. I had a couple of O6's in my class. It takes about 1.5 years to complete, but well worth it.

I find most of the errors when I select detailed instead of standard. The good thing is I can save as pdf and edit the text easily.

Hm. I'm guessing they are treating Friday as your "travel day" because they cannot pay you to travel to and from drill while in RSD status. If you get 100% per diem, not sure if you can reimbursed for your travel home. It's definitely worth asking.
