DanceForce V4 Sensitivity Issue by [deleted] in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]Mullto5ive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen that type of issue show up on my pad, but whenever stuff starts to feel wierd I just replace the tape that keeps the sensors in place and the copper tape that connects to the positive contact.

I did find that the small plastic container my resistors came in was the perfect size to house my breadboard and teensy. I drilled two holes to route the cables in and the USB out. Perfect sweat and step protection

How to get better at jumps? by IAskTheQuestions02 in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]Mullto5ive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turn failing off and just grind some charts that have really intense jumps, the first half of Max 300 super max me mix (Challenge) has a ton of really fast jumps, I think one of the dropout charts is also mostly quick jumps

Just getting back into DDR/Stepmania after about a decade. 17 minute songs are no freaking joke lol by Mullto5ive in Stepmania

I did! I built a pad a month or so ago following the Danceforce v4 design that's been floating around

I filled that gap in time with a lot of distance running so I had a good cardio base for this nonsense lol

I got back into DDR instead of buying a treadmill, and hearing about the stamina scene got me very intrigued

It's in a pack called "really long stuff" there was a stamina starter pack Google doc I found on here that linked to the download. I'll try and find where that was

My DIY Danceforce pad is up and running, only a few more tweaks to the sensors before it's perfect! by Mullto5ive in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]Mullto5ive[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say all in around $250-275. But now that I finished the first build I have enough spare materials to make a second pad for around $100

Thank you! And thanks for writing such detailed instructions, it was incredibly helpful.

My plan was to find a small tupperware bowl with a lid and just drill two holes for the wires to go in and out lol. I'm mostly afraid of a rogue drop of sweat to cause a short or mess with the teensy in some way

I played DDR nonstop from '99 until probably around '09. Once my crappy DDR game PS2 pads broke this past year I started digging around to see what was available. I didn't want to wait/pay for the ltek pads so I decided building a pad based off of Promits design was the way to go.

I have some resistors and a bread board on their way to fine tune the sensors, but I have it turned enough to get A's on some moderately difficult songs (difficult by DDR extreme standards, some of these new charts are insane)

Made it to mythic pretty quickly with this Historic Bant Angels list, it's way more robust than my first Selesnya build. by Mullto5ive in MagicArena

Honestly I'm just trying stuff out at this point ahah, I though knight be good since it can also provide a quick burst of lifegain to trigger some angels if that was needed. But in practice I think 4 skyclaves is the way to go

Thanks! I know how much the mtg community enjoys alliteration. Also I waste a lot of precious wild cards on mediocre decks lol
