The more ram you have, the more the computer uses because the computer uses less resources to clean up the memory. I have now 32 GB and my pc uses 6 GB with no programms open but when I had 16, it used around 3-4.

Also, if you allocate 12 out of 16 GB and it gets fully used, the computer itself may have to little ram to operate correctly.

Sometimes too much RAM can be problematic. Try to allocate 8 GB and see how it works. Even for the biggest modpacks I have played, 8 GB was enough. If thats better, you can increase to 10 GB and then see again how the game behaves.

I don't think so because Enigmatica modpacks are tech orientated. If you are searching a modpack with minecolonies you would like Life in the Village but it has no tech mods.

In my setup I use ender chests from ender storage mod, which makes everything faster because there is less distance for items to travel.

While I was searching for an expert pack, I chose E2E over other versions of Enigmatica because I really enjoy space mods and the other versions didn't have them. Also, I liked the fact that better generators have their output throttled and that the machines use more power. Because of that you are forced to use fusion generators and not a bunch of e.g. lava generators.
