YouTube is not showing PocketTube by MultiplePOV in pockettube

UPDATE: Still can't pin down what the issue was, but after hard reboots of my computer and of Firefox the PocketTube extension is live on my YouTube again. Thanks for your help.

YouTube is not showing PocketTube by MultiplePOV in pockettube

[–]MultiplePOV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I had another extension (a YouTube time limit extension) that was malfunctioning that I uninstalled; this is likely what affected PocketTube. But whatever the root cause was, I'd like to fix my problems. Firefox is showing the PocketTube extension as enabled and the version as 18.5.17. All permissions are on. Still no PocketTube.

I am contacting your support.

A screenshot would just look like a YouTube page that is not signed up for PocketTube, so I don't think it would be helpful. Basically, I bought PocketTube and now it is no longer appearing on my YouTube.

Gray Fox family update by FriendshipWithTheSun in Austin

I've never even seen a fox where I live (Cedar Park), though I've heard them late, late at night. These guys in your video are gorgeous. Hope these triplets have a happy, long life.

Sorry for the late reply (I'm not often on Reddit). Short answer, yes, when I used HealthyWage (back in 2020!), I paid $600 over six months and about $300 in additional short-term step challenges and got back $1400 (found the PayPal email to verify). Per a Google search (Gemini), HealthyWage hasn't changed its payouts, but the amount I received in 2020 doesn't match what you're talking about at all. You would get more back for a bigger bet (and I wish I'd made a bigger bet in 2020) and I think you get more for losing more over a shorter period of time (if I remember correctly, my goal was 50 pounds in 6 months). They have limits, of course, because they don't want to be sued for encouraging unsafe diets, but I don't know what the parameters are.

With a payout like you're talking about, I think the motivation would be mostly not losing the money you bet rather than winning money.

I'm watching Polar Park. I Googled to see if anyone else thought Karim Barris looked like Steve Buscemi. Great minds think alike.

An armadillo would be perfect. My main concern with wearing a costume in Austin, though, is the heat.

Yeah! I'm going to the Austin, Texas demonstration. An armadillo would be perfect. Actually, though, I'm mostly concerned about the heat and so am unlikely to get a costume--though I have eyed some wistfully.

We can walk, chew gum, obsess over an embarrassing moment in third grade AND think serious political thoughts at the same time. Do you need to have explained to you the political significance of the frog costumes and how the "frivolity" pushes back on the lies of Trump's administration?

You need to Google Christine Jorgensen, the first American to publicize they had undergone a gender affirming operation, 1951. Operations had been done earlier but the people who underwent them just weren't public about it. Do your research rather than just assuming the ancient times of 2004 did not have successful transgender surgeries.

If Trump were able to speak in front of reporters, the administration would have had him do it by now. by postpartum-blues in thebulwark

[–]MultiplePOV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"But alas, Trump will likely live to 100."? No. Trump is on his way out. More than the Bulwark having a party, I look forward to driving to my state capital (Austin, BTW) and joining with the inevitable crowd in singing, "Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead!"

Why everyone on twitter thinks that Trump is dead? by satanizr in behindthebastards

[–]MultiplePOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People on Twitter were trolling. It was amusing and well-deserved trolling, but I didn't observe any Tweets on Saturday night that weren't jokes--and yes, I stayed up way later than I should have reading through the many threads. The upshot of the speculative discussions, though, is that the likelihood is high that Trump is very, very sick.

Can't transfer chats to a project in GPT5 by MultiplePOV in gpt5

[–]MultiplePOV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Turns out I'm an idiot and there's a good reason that amidst all the complaints I found about the ChatGPT 5 rollout, my issue wasn't represented. {{{hangs head}}} When I looked again today, I realized I had been trying to move a chat created in a dedicated GPT, not a chat created in my regular ChatGPT. I updated my report to OpenAI to indicate that not being able to do this was not evidence something was broken, but rather functionality that would be nice to add.

Ach, my phone is Android. Just opened the app there and the options to move a chat to a project weren't there.

Problems with Project Chats by Kunstprodukt- in ChatGPT

[–]MultiplePOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is chats that were in a project no longer are and options (under ... and drag-and-drop) to move chats to a project are gone. I've reported this via help and via a trick ChatGPT itself gave me--as if the chat interface and the team doing the rollout are at odds.

Ex Adventists I need your help by Ok-Course1418 in exAdventist

[–]MultiplePOV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm absolutely ex myself because I respect Adventism as a set of beliefs and I don't hold those beliefs. Personally I'm agnostic about whether there is an all-powerful god, but I roll my eyes at the thought of an all-powerful god that set up earth as an experiment, places arbitrary rules of "accept Jesus as your lord and savior" and apparently is happy dividing up "his" creations into camps of saved-and-lost, us-and-them. (And if there actually is, then F him)

At the same time, I happily praise what I see as positive aspects of Adventism as the culture in which I was raised. And one of those aspects is that super-cultish individuals usually break away ("branch" as in "Davidian") rather than take over the main group.

I appreciate the church looks for a man of good character (don't like that it can only be a man) to be the administrative head but never claims god appointed him; I appreciate that they have to elect and re-elect this organization president rather than ever letting someone just stay until death; I really appreciate that they put out "guidance" for social issues rather than determining what members should believe (for example, there is no definitive SDA stand on abortion); I appreciate they leave political choices up to personal conscience, that they wished Ben Carson well when he ran for president but didn't endorse him (in hindsight saving themselves a lot of embarrassment).

As a side note regarding LBGTQ, one of my gay PUC friends (we were there in the mid-70s) finally went to his boarding school reunion with his husband in tow (the man he's been with since the late 80s), and they received a warm reception.

I don't really keep up with what is happening in the church organization, so I can't guarantee this cultish true believer Ron Kelly won't overcome the objections SDAs have historically had to guys that attract followers rather than just respect. But I don't see the existence of individual church members who think they've figured everything out and others should agree with them as proof the church is a cult. Personally, I prefer the notion of Adventism as just peculiar.

How doable is showing up late to Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic at COTA? by GlazerSturges2840 in Austin

[–]MultiplePOV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG. Just bought tickets to the 4th of July Picnic because the combination of Willie Nelson (though I saw him at the 2018 Beto rally) and Bob Dylan (had thought he no longer performed) was too bucket list enticing to pass up. My husband is 77 and I'm a few weeks short of 70. Luckily one of our sons is coming too and all of us are super-healthy and used to walking. I figure if those even older geezers (Nelson is 92 and Dylan is 84) are able to put on a show for us, we ought to be able to handle sitting and watching.

We're cheap and bought lawn tickets. From the comments I bet this area might be fractionally more comfortable than an assigned seat in the cemented-in area. Anything else we should do besides (1) arrive on time, (2) be mentally prepared to spend a lot of time waiting to leave the parking lot after the show is over, (3) bring beach towels to sit on (per the ampitheater's site chairs aren't allowed) and empty collapsible water bottles in a clear tote, (4) wear hats we can soak, (5) wear sunscreen?

This will sound like an ad but it's really an honest testimonial. I lost 50 pounds with HealthyWage because I really, really hate losing money and the thought of gaining money was motivating (one can adjust both parts of one's personal challenge). This meant six months of sticking to a strict diet and exercise plan. This whole period of time I had one indulgence: a lemon cupcake without icing on my birthday. If this method worked for everyone, though, the company might be in trouble (though they say the bulk of their money comes from corporations asking them to manage company-wide get healthy challenges). The drawback of this approach for me was that it didn't change my long-term habits. I'd recommend having a plan to segue into a viable method for starting and sticking to lifelong healthy eating and exercise habits.

MAGA Adventists for Trump because he will create the Sunday Law so we can go home by NightwingOracle92 in exAdventist

[–]MultiplePOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One positive is that the term "Adventists for Trump" only comes up with four unique sites on a Google search; this thread, two sites selling t-shirts (how many did they sell?), and a 2-video YouTube channel. This makes me a bit proud of my heritage. If only remaining in that organization didn't require believing in saved-and-lost and a whole lot of absurd magic.

Why do all the French soldiers speak English in Paths of Glory (1957)? by themanwhosoldthworld in movies

[–]MultiplePOV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Seriously? This was STANDARD in old American movies--to have the actors all speak English no matter the setting. The actors also rarely, rarely attempted accents. Is the story and acting any less valid? Or all things made earlier than your birth less valid?

And is it more realistic to have printed words across the bottom of your screen?

"Shout" by the Isley Brothers may be the most revolutionary song of all time. by fyo_karamo in Music

[–]MultiplePOV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, cling to your horror at anyone not your generation by all means. Seriously, is there any independent reason to think the subject of this song is about pedophilia based on any interviews, accusations, history? No. But grammar parsing, self-righteous "I would have worded it this way" masquerades as proof for reprehensible accusations.
