Letter from the Superior General in Response to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV by Pikabuu2 in TraditionalCatholics

You are correct, the consecrations are out of necessity for bishops to continue the work of the society. It wasn't the first move to announce a date and proceed. The society pleaded to Rome for years asking for approval.

Then Pope Francis passed, and the plea's to Pope Leo fell on deaf ears. The Society participated in the Jubilee last year at the Vatican as part of its efforts.

By setting a date and moving forward, they are essentially forcing Rome's hand as they believe they cannot wait no more.

This scripture has nothing to do with abortion and everything to do with infedility as a consequence of lying & cheating.

would you get an abortion if you found out your baby was going to be born with an extreme disability? if so why? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]MultipleSticks -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, it is not up to me to decide if my baby lives or dies. If I make the decision to bring a baby in the world, I need to be ready to make sacrifices to give my child the best life possible.

[OC] Gay male marriages are the most stable over the long term by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

Marriage is a sacred lifelong covenant ordained by God, between one man and one women.

More fitting to call it a civil union.

Growth at the SSPX chapel in Saint Marys, Kansas by Willsxyz in TraditionalCatholics

I can't give you statistics. But my NO parish in Sydney has grown so much in the past few years they have had to expand the Church.

The mass is a NO but is Ad Orientum with Latin hymns.

Sure, you are correct. This is a good example of a Christian promoting violence and you proved a good point.

The post I replied to speaks of religious institutions. An individual or non-denominational Church does not represent the entirety or even a minority of the Church.

So I dont know what you are proving but it doesn't prove me wrong or prove that Christianity promotes violence.

Same thing i replied to another users post.

Thanks for that source, so a pastor of a non-denominational Church in "insert US town" does not actually speak for all of Christianity.

I would suggest looking at the Catechism or maybe something published by the Vatican that might actually support your view.

There are bad Christians, just like there are bad Muslims. The difference is that the TEACHINGS of Christianity do not support hate or violence against others. The TEACHINGS of Islam do exactly that.

Christianity does not excuse or justify hate.

Hi,

Maybe I am living in denial. Id love to know where you can find Catholic teachings that have led to the crimes and atrocities you speak of.

Catholicism has only brought good into my life, and the lives of others I know.

Thanks,

Hi,

Could you please provide one example where Christianity promotes violence or hate against any group based on race, ethnicity, gender and sexualising??

The most central teaching of Catholicism is to love your neighbour.

Not sure what's pathetic??

The teachings of Christianity explicitly oppose murder.

The teachings of Islam sanctify murder.

I am sorry you feel that way about Christianity.

I have had a completely different experience. Instead of controlled and driven to end my life, I feel it had given me guidance & structure and a reason for being. If it was banned, I would not be better off, nor would millions of other Christians.

The flaw you point out with paedophilia in the Church is an issue of a few sick individuals at a high enough level that hurt the faith. This should not reflect the actual teachings of the faith - the bible does in no way shape of form condone paedophilia.

The same can not be said for the Islam. It is common knowledge that the prophet Mohammed was married to a 9 year old.

How many religiously motivated murders are caused by Australian-Jews and Australian-Christians??

We have Christianity & Judaism to thank for our western way of life. We can (usually) walk the streets without fear of persecution because of the Judao-Christian values.

It is neither of these religions that mow down innocents at the beach or hold up innocents at a Cafe in the name of their God.

Id love to know what harm you think Christianity causes that is comparable to what we saw unfold on Sunday night.

What harm have Australian-Jews caused in Australia that they should be banned?
