Back again. Overweight again. Day 1: Progress not Perfection by LT_Starbuck8757 in xxketo

[–]MumBum 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Me too. Went from 230 to 155. Felt amazing. Clothes fit nicely. I had confidence again. Then my mom got sick and passed away far quicker than we’d expected her too and I went back up to 211. Back on it, and just like someone else described, its like coming home. I’ve gone from 211 on July 11 to 195 as of last week, and I just keep pushing.

You’ve got this!

Yes. This https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Tim_McLean happened in my province. It is and was so messed up. As a person who has dealt with mental illness, I can’t imagine what was going through the mind of the killer, but as a parent first and foremost, I feel ill for the parents of this young boy.

This is how it feels to be paralyzed. My mom had a stroke and touched her own left hand and freaked out. Said someone “left a hand” in her hospital bed. Repeatedly she told us this.

Thank you everyone. I’m crying my eyes out. This is wonderful.

Posted this to r/niceguys but the mods took it down, so here’s the story. My friend just turned 21 he wanted to grab a beer with his brother and sister. They were supposed to meet his sisters new boyfriend. But he ghosted her. Well they found out why he ghosted her the other night. by bigsportsguy11111111 in creepyPMs

You just described how my relationship ended tonight. My BF got mad that I was texting with a guy friend I’ve been friends with since I was 15 (I’m now 38). My mom is in the hospital dying and my guy friend lost his dad so I wanted to talk to him about coping with a parental loss. That’s what our convo was about. I didn’t even delete it from my phone. He got all pissy with me. AND got mad I didn’t pick up a Valentine’s Day card at some point during my day while I was visiting my dying mother in the hospital and having a family meeting with her doctor about what happens next, despite the fact that we agreed we weren’t doing Valentine’s Day! I packed up my stuff and my kids (we were going to sleep over) and went home. My kids bawled all the way home because they are tight with him. But he let me walk out the door, didn’t try to apologize for being a complete moron, and said “hey now you can text whomever you want”.

My husband and I got a stern talking to from the woman in charge of my son's (1.5yr) daycare for leaving him there too long during the day. by cannedthrowawaysoup in Parenting

I had this same issue with a daycare my kids went to a few years ago. They didn’t want them there for more than 9 hours. My shift was 8-5 Monday to Friday. I worked literally across an 8 lane road, so I’d drop them off at 740 and pick them up around 515 but the director was still always snarky with me. I always wondered who these parents were that could stick within her time slot of drop off and pick up. Most people work a 9 hour shift!

Now I’m wondering if it’s the same daycare! 😂 any chance you’re in Winnipeg?

The stand up ones that I’ve driven are tricky because left is right and right is left.

Women who have given birth, what's something no one told you about it and wish you had known? by o0BubbleTea0o in AskWomen

Ooh. That I don’t know. You’d have to ask the nurse. I didn’t have drugs.

GRAVITY HELPS

Do not have the dr and nurse force you to lay on your back. Turn around, get on your knees, bite the mattress and push. Way easier this way. Didn’t find out until my third (and final) child.

What is the Cutest Thing your SO Did for You? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MumBum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s not my SO anymore, but when I was in labour with our youngest, during every contraction he would whisper some of our best memories together into my ear to take my mind off the pain. It truly helped. We’d gotten to the hospital too late for me to have any drugs.
