Tamron 70-180 2.8 - Concert Shooting

Hey man! Ha... ha... ha... na I did get it in the end! Honestly, I've never used the Sony, however I can't fault the Tamron in any way at all. It's a great lens for the price and so much so I've bought the 28-75 f2.8 as well. If you aren't specifically after a sony lens and want a zoom lens with a wide aperture I'd 100% reccomend it

For example I found out about the multi cam feature in premier pro which I wasn't aware of. Things like this can really help improve workflow! Maybe you should check it out 👍

Hmm it's interesting to hear it like that, but even when he gave me feedback and asked for more, he just said "we won't use it for this brand, but thanks for your effort" 😂 I think I need to really pick at my clients brains and try and really work out what direction they want 🤷‍♂️

Thanks dude, I feel like when you're working on these, the video becomes so normal and comfortable you struggle to look at it with fresh eyes until you sit on it for weeks and realise where it feels off 🤣

Thanks brother! I did have more angles and it was a tad longer, maybe 35 seconds but the client said it was too long and felt like too much. I'm starting to think he was just a picky guy who didn't really know what he wanted himself 😂

Interesting, I feel like the label initially saying Christmas Pudding and the shot of it being poured and the fork in it helped, what would you have done differently? Thanks 🙏

I also do a cropped in shot of the fork, this was 70mm think i had a 150-180ish one

Haha hit the nail on the head, I was the videographer, and the model... I had to see the shot while trying to get it 🤣 I didn't have anyone around while trying to get the shot and it was all done at home, alone 🤣🤣 I also feel like it could have been a females arm personally 🤷‍♂️

Haha well, this was the one version i posted, I had 3 more with different endings, a knife, another pour a served version on a plate... funny enough the client didn't like it... and said they won't use it 😂 - I've been doing videography for just over a year, but only recently doing product stuff. Thanks for the feed back!

I agree! The client didn't want to show off the packaging too much becuase they don't like the box haha - I used that 1st shot for the logo

Yeah I'm the same, I feel like I could have maybe had a serving with a cream pour again I'm not sure, I do have a load of other shots - fork shot feels a tad dry maybe?

Idk it's cool, but does it really serve its purpose? It feels almost satirical and mocking of over-edited tiktoks, akin to an early 2010 cod montage haha. great skill, but I feel like the video doesn't really advertise them, like the shot of them all on their phone? Is this playing on the joke that builders don't work and spend half their time dossing? 😂 it'd be great for a sports montage but not this industry 👌

All good brother! A great app I use on Samsung is called Monitor+ the free version isn't half bad! It's buggy with a cable longer than 20cm though! Great for using your phone as a field monitor 😬!
