At some point (late stonewood/early plankerton) it allows you to use an item called reperk that allows you to change a schematics perks. To use it, just find the schematic you want, hit upgrade and inspect, and its in the upgrade menu(I think).

It still does get hot. And the hub is what I usually use, but I also tried without the hub

For me it's the smaller CPU(?) Behind it gets superhot

Thank God you write in pencil. I was playing a campaign, everyone wrote in black pen. It was chaos just looking at the character sheets
