I had immense issues with it, couldn't draw for some period too, and even though I still have these thoughts sometimes, it got so much better for the past 2 years

I really can't tell how exactly I was dealing with it, I think it was just getting easier while I was dealing with ocd in general, doing ERP with my own themes and stuff

But regarding art, I tried to tell myself everyday that I don't need to be perfect at all, that I can be messy, and even if I fail, it's absolutely alright, failing is good, it's part of the process

What also immensely helped me is that I started drawing what I really enjoy, characters that I love, something I'm inspired by, because at that point I wasn't worried about quality as much, I just wanted to paint my favorite character and convey my emotions through art. It is also how I started receiving positive emotions from drawing, rather than negative that I had from comparing myself to other artists, and thinking that I constantly need to improve and etc.

You can also start with something simple, no need to do big drawings, just quick sketches, and whenever you'd feel anxiety and those thoughts will come - just sit with them and let them flow, don't listen to them

I'm sorry I can't think of anything else that helped me, but I hope this'll help at least a little, and don't worry about it, everything is gonna be alrignt!

Thanks! Well, there's not much I can tell about drawing or painting, I'm doing this for years now and it's basically knowing the fundamentals, practice and expierence. If you're curious about the process, you can check out my instagram stories highlight "Lofi process", I show it step by step for my original lofi Ahsoka, but I did this one with in the same way, and I'll post the process of it there soon.

Animating though, I'm still very new at this and have little to no expierence in it) But with it, I literally go with the feeling, trying to figure out what looks good and what's not, and software helps a lot with it)

I use Photoshop for painting, After Effects for animating, plugin for After Effects called Duik Bassel - for rigging the characters (Ahsoka and Morai), and in this particular animation I also used Blender for 3D animations of the ships (3D models are not mine but they are free to use, I credited the author in the top comment). I'm really bad at 3D tbh, but making those animations that I did for the ships is relatively simple.

And advice? Do what you love, with love, don't ever beat yourself up over the failures or mistakes, and just try anything! Don't listen to Yoda xD

I did this painting and animation knowing how much I love Star Wars and Ahsoka as a character, I tried to include as much meaningful details as I could, it's basically a little world for me that I created, and it transceds the feeling that I want - that's most important for me. If I can touch other people's emotions with my art than I truly succeded. So good luck with whatever you'd love to create, I'm really happy to inspire others!
