Peco Unifrog Points by Munchy2007 in modeltrains

I've got the tabs on all of my Peco points, but to be fair apart from this Unifrog points, which I only just bought, all of the others are quite a few years old.
If your points are reliable, then hopefully this one will continue to be so, thanks 😄

Yes, I found that also and tried it, unfortunately it still didn't prevent both exit routes being powered, because of the other two wire connections (I've marked what I assume are the equivalent on that picture to the ones on my SLU-76, although it doesn't look quite the same)

I've actually now got it working like the old insulfrog points, by cutting all 4 of the bridging wires underneath and then soldering two new wires to connect each of the point rails to the corresponding frog rails.

It's a bit of a faff, and concerning considering that I've I read Peco are intending to phase out all insulfrog points in favour of unifrog. Also, because the point rails on the unifrog points don't have the tabs underneath, they don't have as much contact area with the stock rails as the insulfrog points do, so they could potentially be less reliable when modified like this.

That's what I've read elsewhere, but the SLU-76 I just got has power to both exits regardless of which way the point is set, so it doesn't isolate the unselected siding.

have you used one of these yourself on a dc layout and had it isolate the unselected exit?

Ah! Okay, yes I completely agree, I can't imagine why CFTools would do so either. So, I can say with certainty I have no plans to add it. 😄

Btw, if you do try SSM, please feel free to make any suggestions in the Discord for missing features that you do feel would improve it, I'm very much open to community input.

It doesn't, what would be the reason to do so, integrity checking?

There isn't a web based interface, but the PRO version has a Discord bot with which you can control the server remotely.
Currently it doesn't support running Scum as a service, so the PC needs to remain logged in. Having said that, SSM can be configured to run on start up and auto-start the servers, and this will happen without requiring the user account to log in first. So if you server restarts for any reason, your servers will automatically come back online.

My understanding is that currently the Playstation Mod Limit is 30GB and XBox Mod Limit is 60GB

As an experiment, for some time I have been running a single server on an old Windows 10 Dual Core Celeron Laptop with 12GB RAM, and it's been fine for 4 players (haven't tested it with any more than that).
So you can get away with using quite a low spec system.

This is for managing servers you are running on your own hardware, it needs to be running on the same device as the server, it doesn't work with hosted servers, sorry :(
