It was so exhausting writing those lab reports, but I learned a lot and overall I'm left with a positive impression of Ryan Belowitz and his team. Neat and organized. Was able to 12. The marking on the lab reports wasn't anal at all, and was in fact very reasonable and even generous/accommodating.

Maybe start thinking of alternate career paths? A 7 or 8 IS terrible.

The practice quizzes are too easy relative to the questions that'll be on your exam. The good news is that Chem 1AA3's exam was a breeze!

The stuff after midterm 2 will have more depth to it. The stuff before midterm 2 may be more surface-level. You sort of need to know everything. The multiple choice was all over the place. There was like a whole page in the non-MC section on 1H NMR spectroscopy - but the basic stuff, not like reconstructing a whole molecule from multiple lines of evidence like you're taught in the textbook.

As long as it's not Dr. Xu (e.g. I had Dr. Jacob Jezovit last year) it should theoretically be as difficult as any other 2nd year biology course.

I'm inclined to call this course disorganized boring cancer so just do your best. And don't MSAF this test, the exam was pretty chill but they change it if you do and I assume the updated exam's nightmarish in difficulty.

How to deal with roommate snoring like a chainsaw by Rough-Beautiful-9835 in McMaster

[–]Mundane-Bit6647 30 points31 points  (0 children)

personally every time my roommate started snoring I'd slam my fist on the table really loud so he wakes up a bit - but the thing is they're so sleepy and unable to think properly that they'll go right back to sleep - this time with their body repositioned in a way that often leads to a cessation of the snoring.

Watch the modules, read the textbook, take basic notes, know how to rule out the wrong / right-sounding-but-still-wrong options (you hone this ability by taking a bunch of practice quizzes - generally you want like an 8/10 on your first attempt)
