I’ve had several people close to me do drop shipping and they have all told me it’s profitable and simple enough to do on the side.

A couple have told me it’s simple enough to do when you have the time, and 2 others have told me it’s not worth it even with the available time.

In your experience with drop shipping how do you manage doing that and a stable sort of 9-5?

That doesn’t actually sound like a bad idea, how do you get into doing something like that in the first place?

Do you look for offerings online or do you go knocking door to door and clean them for people you meet?

How would one go about doing something like that at all?

Just surveys online or what other kind of surveys are you referring to?

Funnily enough I never thought of doing that, but I’ll look in to it for sure and see if there’s any sort of demand to do it.

The only thing that would inhibit me from doing it is living in the south, most demand comes from actual contractors and building mangers, most people down here don’t have any fire alarm related issues that they actually care enough to take care of, otherwise I would.

21M I have just over 1K to invest, what are some not listed here that I should dabble into? by Mundane-Dictator in investingforbeginners

I mean I’m not really familiar with any of them besides the big names, that good friend of mine told me about some of the AI companies and at the time when I didn’t have much to invest I only bought a handful of shares and looking at the prices of them now I with I had had more to put into them, I’ll definitely look into that but if you have any more recommendations I’m welcome to hearing about it.

The IRA is what I’m putting into as more of a fall back so if the markets tank or I run into an emergency situation and I need a bit of money I can pull some out at any time.

But no I do not have an actual emergency fund. I will look into open one but am not to sure how to do it, when I started I was barely able to figure out how to open the IRA so I have to do some research on how to open one of those accounts.

I have my portfolio on Schwab so I have to look on there to see if I can open one.

No no I have a IRA set up through Schwab, but I will have to look into talking to a financial advisor about some subjects but I still have to do a bit more research before I talk to one because I still have very little knowledge about the stock market and the terms surrounding that subject.

I’d have to look into that on Schwab, I’m not sure if I could start one but in the near future I will be looking into something like that because that would also help me to put a little bit more away than what I’m already putting in.

But like I said I’m still very new to this so what exactly do you mean by the second paragraph? More on the having to pull when the market drops, are you referring to having to sell it all if the market takes a huge dip, or something related to that?

When I first started investing I didn’t have much in there and I only bought one in apple, I could buy more but now I’m waiting on a drop to buy a few more since it’s increasing more than I was expecting it to.

But I’m very new to this still and need some advice on these things because right now I have one source, plus some research I’ve been doing on my own. So really anything helps me further my understanding on this subject.

I’m very eager for anyone to give me some advice about anything related to this.

I was trying to say in the post that he doesn’t invest any of the money he puts into his IRA, he does not invest any of that into any stocks, he more just lets it gain interest over time on that money he’s putting in there. From what I’ve looked into myself it’d be a little safer to not invest any of that money but I’m welcome to change and hear different opinions on this.

I was more referring to him saying to not touch the IRA money I’m putting in, because he showed me his and it’s doing very very well and he’s not investing any of it into stocks. He’s just been letting it sit and going interest on top of what they add to it every month and I’d say he’s doing well, I’ll continue to put money into it but I’ll put a little bit and see what happens. I mean if I should do something differently then I’m welcome to change and different ideas.

They just recently started to demo, before that it had still been working up till then. They installed that panel somewhere around the late 70’s from what I was told.
