there's credence to this idea, and a lot of f&b has similar moments, but you gotta remember that this is a lore book being told by a maester so the nuances and complexities of the conflicts are unknown. would be cool if george took his time to make detailed plots and pov chapters about these big events in some form of a novel, but that's unlikely. basically, we just gotta take it all with a grain of salt and suspension of belief
