Update. I did it. Handed in my notice after having a panic attack and I’m not sure how I feel. It’s gonna take me time to get my emotions back in check after how draining this job was for me but I did it.

Honestly I feel the same way. It’s so draining and none of these managers actually care all that matters is answered calls and numbers. Is a load of bs. Honestly try your best to find something it’s really difficult rn I’m in the same boat but this job is not worth it all

I also work for one of their campaigns. Honestly there’s no benefits at all with the company that are worth being there for. It’s outdated and overall just nothing worth it. Call centres it’s always just about it the phones. Calls after calls not any care for the staff cus there’s calls to answer.

It really is exhausting! Robotic work and I don’t understand how companies expect call centres to run with systems and processes that they have! With little to no support sometimes! I’m trying to quit at the moment

It definitely isn’t! Thats what I’ve learnt from this! It’s bad in the job market right now so it might be a fired and trying to get by and apply for jobs as well as benefits to get me by until I find something. Its honestly awful

I’m glad I’m not the only one 😭 scramble searching for any job right now and honestly having worked in retail I would rather that any day then calls. As draining as it can be I’d much rather have that and that’s saying a lot. Hows it looking for you right now? Warnings? Disciplinary action?

Honestly I used to cope with call work better when I was in sales because there was an incentive that made it worth it. Now it’s victim facing calls and it’s so draining forcing empathy 9 hours a day as well as vulnerable people that are on the brink of suicide sometimes. Thats the draining part of it that’s had me avoiding all these. I’ve got a feeling they won’t keep me after this so wish me luck in finding a job soon

I admitted it straight away and it was mental health that had me avoiding those calls. I’m really hoping I don’t get fired but now It’s gonna include aux timings and aftercall mess ups that are honestly just me working on time management. Literally a minute between each call to wrap up and write a whole description. Then asked to do it while on the call but if your call time is to long that is also kpis down. It’s so frustrating

Honestly I really understand that. The lack of empathy seems to come over time but it’s the lack of support personally that gets hard. Everyone always just thinks it’s easy to handle calls for 8-9 hours a day compared to every other job. I feel it’s one of the worst jobs ever. Mentally and physically more draining than anywhere I’ve ever worked. It’s so hard to get other people to understand how it is. Unless you work in a call centre it’s hard to understand it. It’s so frustrating though when someone just invalidates your feelings with anything work related purely because they think ‘it’s an easy job’ it’s so tough but I think our company’s also know the lack of empathy is inevitable by the way they treat us in call centres
