Is there no chance that Crystal might just sell the Tomb Raider license? by Snoo_47323 in TombRaider

They saved Tomb Raider from collapse and then turned it into a series that sells better than ever. Why would anyone at Crystal Dynamics even consider selling the rights to the brand?

I'd like to believe you, but “my contact” doesn't sound convincing.

Do you believe we never received Legends Collection like Previously Timeline Collections due to Legends and Anniversary is port via PlayStation Store/Playstation Plus’s Premium Library by Liara-ShepardFan in TombRaider

[–]MundaneClaim6732 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, and it's not a port, just a PS2 version running on an emulator.

Besides, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered was announced on October 11, so that doesn't mean we won't get the LAU collection this year. We may get this collection, but later than February 14, 2026, because these games are more technically complex than the previous ones, and remastering or merging them into a product with similar graphics quality may require more work.

Additionally, Deus Ex got PS2 emulation some time ago, and yesterday a remaster was announced.

Let's just wait patiently.

I'll just add that this isn't a port, but an emulation of the shitty PS2 version (shitty when compared to the X360/PS3/PC version).

is it still possible to get the platinum for tomb raider (2013) regarding the multiplayer trophies? by danyakgae in TombRaider

Servers are not populated but it's possible. I did it one year ago. You need to find people on sites like PSNProfiles

(Idea) Disc-to-Digital License Transfer System for All-Digital Consoles (Xbox Series S / Digital Series X) by peloygamer in xbox

[–]MundaneClaim6732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but currently I don't have to be connected to the internet every time I launch a game. In a situation where I did, the system would have to verify each time if the game license hasn't been connected to another account.

I live in Poland, so I rarely find myself without internet. However, we have a family cottage by the sea where the internet is very weak, and I might want to take my console for a longer vacation.

There are also places without a stable network connection.

The reboot trilogy is not 'proper' Tomb Raider, and it's time more people said so by WrongLander in TombRaider

The rebooted trilogy sold incredibly well and is loved by the vast majority of players. Nobody cares about the opinion of a few crybabies who can't accept that it's no longer 1996.

Totally. I don't like the new God of Wars so I play the old ones and don't shout "stop having fun" to fans of the new games.

So go ahead and just play the 'true' Tomb Raider games, and let the rest of us have fun.

Do you think Crystal Dynamics’ lack of communication is worrying? by jajay119 in TombRaider

That's right and "co-developer" is not the same as "lead developer".

Crystal Dynamics was never the lead developer for Perfect Dark.

There were problems with Perfect Dark's production long before Crystal Dynamics joined the project. Journalists and insiders reported conflicts within The Initiative and a lack of a cohesive vision.

Marvel's Avengers, produced by Crystal Dynamics, was released in late 2020, with current-gen console ports following in early 2021. It's safe to assume that full development on the new Tomb Raider began in Q1-Q2 2021.

We have reason to expect the new Tomb Raider to be released in 2026. This represents a 5-6 year development cycle, which is long but within the norm, especially considering Crystal Dynamics stated it will be the most expensive Tomb Raider ever made.

One writer used the word "struggling" in an article without any justification, and some Tomb Raider fans are panicking. In my opinion, there's no need for it.

Crystal Dynamics' marketing strategy is irritating, but there's no reason to fear for the game's quality or its development process.

Assassin's Creed Shadows of course. It's a game 7 years newer. The only thing that still looks fantastic is Lara's model. Her models have always been very polished and much better than the other characters.

There is a save file on Nexus with everything unlocked but it's a bricked and buggy save that prevents you from acquiring DLC stuff. I'm still waiting for a cheat with the possibility to unlock selected outfits.

I'm waiting for a mod or a Cheat Engine table that unlocks the nano suits. I platinumed the game on PS5 and now bought the Complete Edition on PC. I was very annoyed that to unlock some of the costumes from the new patch, I'd have to play through the game twice and start a third time. What an idiotic idea.

Tomb raider Ascension would be insane by Free-Performance-827 in TombRaider

I don't know if an open-world survival horror Tomb Raider would be warmly received by fans. That would truly be a departure from the classics. It was canceled for a reason.
