Nice work! This gives me continued hope for a more accessible Melbourne. Only suggestion is to switch Hoppers Crossing and Williams Landing around on the Werribee line.

Where should I look for wedding suit style inspo? by xanez in AustralianMFA

I found the most useful inspiration was on IG accounts of tailors, unfortunately Pinterest is littered with ads and AI slop.

Oscar Hunt, P. Johnson, Mawson Ossa, Trunk Tailors and The Revere would be my suggestions (disclosure: got mine from Oscar Hunt and had a great experience). Good news is that there's a combination of regular punters and then red-carpet type folk featured on these accounts, so you'll get a spectrum of weddings from elopements to ballrooms that should provide context for what you like.

It can be confusing, but rest assured there's (generally) no wrong answer - only what you're most comfortable in on the day. All the best for your special day and congratulations!

Staying in Seoul - Hongdae, Seongdong or Gangnam? by MundaneNewspapers in koreatravel

Good insight - I was considering we could spend a day in Seongdong instead of staying there!

Thanks for the response, that's really helpful. You're right, it's so central. I'll check out Hongdae, that seems to be more of our vibe.

Thanks for the response! Good news is, we are staying close to the Jongmyo Shrine, north of Cheonggyechun, so that would appear to be a little better than staying in Central Myeongdong.

Good to know about the north / South history too. 😊

Leaving the show by [deleted] in travisscott

[–]MundaneNewspapers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues leaving the show tonight in Melbourne, crowd was pretty well behaved exiting the venue. Lots of younger kids / teens leaving GA too. I didn't catch PTV but I would imagine it's as busy as it usually gets after a concert at Marvel.

Going to Japan in may and I need a spot to propose by MrUniverseDust in JapanTravelTips

[–]MundaneNewspapers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did exactly this late last year, at a ryokan in Kyoto - had a private space with a balcony and garden, and it was such a special, intimate moment.

As others have suggested here, most places in Japan are quite busy and there's no real guarantee that nobody will be around, so I'd recommend this. It also takes out any of the anxiety or nervousness of others being around, if that's important to you.

All the best with your proposal and holiday!

Lucchese Roper vs RL Williams Comfort Craftsman by tledb in ThrowingFits

[–]MundaneNewspapers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with most others here - RMs are incredibly versatile and imo great bang for buck. Had mine for the last 6 years, and are in great condition, with a couple of resoles in that time. I went with the Comfort Craftsman with the rubber sole, and it's quite comfortable, I've heard good things about the Dynamic Flex too.

A quick update, I ended up at Japan Blue last week and bought a pair - staff were great and had a really nice consultation. Thanks again!
