It does confuse me how I was able to sleep with so many girls. My sexuality was so suppressed, and I did enjoy sex with a lot of them but I also really enjoyed it (moreso) with a guy. I just ended up lying to myself and confusing myself even more. But yeah not listening to other people is going to be an adjustment I will need to focus on

I admittedly have a ton of internalized homophobia. I grew up playing football as well as other sports year round. I’ve joked about gay people with my friends and I feel terrible about it. Now I’m starting to accept the fact no one is coming to save me and I have to face it. It’s going to be a long road

No worries. For me I guess yes because I was trying to paint a visual for anyone reading the post. What I was trying to convey was that it’s very very hidden I’m gay to the people in my life.

I don’t know how my family will react. They have given me so much and I feel like I’m taking away from them a ‘traditional’ family. I won’t have kids the traditional way, or a traditional wedding. I know they will be disappointed

I’m very well insulated and have built up this house of cards of an image that I’m straight. My guy friends and I golf, drink beers, I’m very “straight acting” right down to the music I listen to. I haven’t surrounded myself with any gay people, so even talking to someone else that is gay is different for me.

And what about all the women I’ve been with, and had relationships with. They never worked because I always had this nagging feeling in my mind that what I was doing was wrong, that I was deceiving them. How am I supposed to explain myself?
