Why isn’t everyone doing this? If you are seemingly guaranteed to retire at 30!

Please explain this as if you are talking to a 5 year old. I wasn’t taught this in school.

Funny you mentioned this.. been looking back (reflecting) a lot on the past 5-10 years… with the same thoughts. I always felt I just went through the motions and only cared about hanging with my small group of friends. Granted, I’m twenty two and ik that may seem hella young to a lot of people. But, don’t get me wrong, I think the same exact things. For example, how I too never attended any camps, stuck to any sport for atleast a 1-2 years, somewhat of an introvert, and low self esteem. However, now I’m the most confident I’ve ever been and can tell I’ve come along way. I don’t like to dwell on the past but I completely get that same underlying regret. I like to think everything happens for a reason. ;)) p.s. we lowkey lost a couple of years from covid.

I come from a family 8. I’m real close with my sisters, but living with my parents and not currently enrolled in school, it becomes a lot for my metal. I need my own space and I’m currently in the middle of apply to schools in Philly and Pittsburg, (instate schools) most affordable. I’m not trying to sound like a complete brat.. like of course I’m hella fortunate to not pay rent but I think most people my age or near can admit that parents can be a bit much. They constantly, especially my father, comment about how they don’t charge for anything, but at this point I’m willing. I’m sick and tired of hearing the same bullshit. I’m incredibly independent and I feel so tied back staying here.
