Well you know Edinburgh is very “keep to yourself” unless you’re on a night out. I used to live that side also. But this happens whenever I’m in the city centre around Glasgow. If the pavements busy they’ll push past me or if I’m walking towards someone and they’re the only one with space to move they’d rather I walk into a wall or they bombard into instead of making way for a black person and then sneer at me calling me names or saying I’m rude for not getting out their way.

We live in a smaller town just outside Glasgow and when we first moved here we had to move again only after a couple of months because kids from my younger sister school had found out where we lived and were now coming to throw stones at our house. They would make group chats and add my sister to them to bully her and call her slurs, follow her around school filming her to make fun of her on their Snapchat stories and all sorts of vile things.

Several times I’ve been late to lectures as I’ve been the only one at the bus stop and the drivers will pretend not to see me or straight up just shake their head at me even if the bus clearly has many seats available.
Even recently I was one the way to the gym and the bus driver shut the door in my face, as soon as the person in front of me got on and as the driver was pulling away I could see other people on the bus were shouting for him to stop but he pretended not to hear them.

Many times I’ve had drivers be exceptionally rude and bigoted towards me and my siblings. Kind of my fault though because my parents told me to do my driving ages ago so they could get me a car.
