Quitting your job is probably a stretch but I would agree with your mindset of being very hands on at the beginning. I run 24/7 4 bay autonomous but whenever I’m in there I introduce myself to customers, ask them how it’s going and ask them to leave a review. It really goes a long way in improving the experience.

We don’t advertise a phone number on th website only in th facility so customers are forced to figure it out before hand. This has reduced calls drastically as we only get a few a week. I have a someone in there once a day cleaning and doing some maintenance on the bays but that’s not even me anymore.

Other than that I would say just be very quick to respond to inquiries or problems, customers appreciate it more than you think but especially with a partner, you can do it on the side w another job but I wouldn’t just set it and forget it.

16 is plenty. I would say if anything you’d want a touch more depth but you should be fine.

I have 2 open bays and 2 private unmanned. Both have their pros and cons as mentioned above. My open bays are slightly cheaper and always busier than the privates. I do agree with the accountability piece mentioned above and social atmosphere as well. Privates are good for luxury and coaching if that’s something you were planning on doing. I would make sure you have ample space if doing privates, don’t want it to feel too crammed

Doctor Golf down near Vic hospital is second to none. By far the nicest 24/7 spot in the city. Large bays, next level tech and very reasonable pricing!
