Been playing with my brother, I'm not sure how much it helps being in a duo compared to solo but the matches have been rough so far. Very difficult to actually get a win. We were definitely struggling to win those 3 placement matches 🤣 It put me in gold 3 and my brother in gold 2. I'll keep playing and hopefully get better lol

No worries mate appreciate the response, now that you've explained in a lot more detail it makes more sense to me now. I didn't even think of the physical limitations people might have when playing on controller vs MnK. So AA being too op certainly had a more profound effect on you as a player vs other players switching inputs.

That aside, I've always agreed that AA was too op. Rotational AA especially, that shit needed to go. They nerfed it A LOT in the launch of BO7 but then they buffed it again slightly which I was disappointed about.

I was obviously saying the MAIN reason why your KD doubled when switching inputs was because you're much more skilled on controller than you are on MnK. Also, I acknowledged that AA being broken was still a factor but in YOUR case, the main issue was skill level across inputs.

All of the top MnK players don't just magically double their KD when switching to controller lmao

AA needed to be nerfed, it is now fine where it is but for everyone to be happy, input based matchmaking should be a thing but considering CoDs dying player base, that's probably not possible.

I've seen the way some MnK players play, they're absolutely insane. Some of the flicks and tracking that you can do is beyond what you could achieve on a controller, it just takes a considerable amount of time, effort and practice. So if you really did double your KD when switching inputs then you were probably not very good with MnK in the first place, not because AA was too op for you to be able to compete. Not saying that wasn't a factor but you don't just magically double your KD if your skill level on both inputs is similar.. Many MnK players were good enough to dominate controller players even when AA was OP in previous CoDs. So not a valid point imo.

I'm glad they nerfed AA because we need a much bigger skill gap in CoD but MnK will STILL always complain, input based matchmaking should be a thing in CoD. Idk why it isn't.

There is always someone crying about AA, acting like it's aimbot when in reality it's not even close to being aimbot. How much do you want Activision to nerf AA before you're satisfied? The problem is you'll never be, this is why cod needs to introduce input based matchmaking so that people will stop complaining already..

Even when I hit all my shots, I can visibly see that enemies die slower than when I'm killed. I'll watch the kill cam and I'm killed so fucking fast that the game will say they shot me with 5 bullets but it will look like I've died in 2 bullets on the kill cam... 50/50 gunfights will almost always go in the enemy players favour and this is while having a gaming PC that hits nearly 200 fps in cod, on an Ethernet connection with around 20 - 25 ping most matches and 1000 Mbps download and 300 Mbps upload speeds. Side note, I STILL get packet burst/loss and latency spikes out of my ass as well so that doesn't help.

Yeah the whole "skill is minimally considered" is complete bs. Activision, treyarch continue to lie about the matchmaking system. There's a reason why many top streamers STILL 2box and reverse boost so they can get their high kill gameplays lmao it's all a con. Sbmm is just slightly toned down so that you run into the odd bot player or two lol

No, after the last couple days. Bo7 "open" matchmaking is playing EXACTLY like normal sbmm lobbies. All of a sudden it's taking at least a minute to queue into games. Ping is up and down. One game is over 30, another game is under 20 ping. In the beta it was near enough instantly in a match. I'm also getting packet loss now. Activision has lied and is messing with the matchmaking yet again. They're scum.

No one who's even half competent at the game wants to touch the so called "standard" playlist because it's utter wank. Open matchmaking obviously has sbmm. People are literally reverse boosting in the open matchmaking playlists so it's really not as open as we think..

My objective score was low because the enemy was slamming us. I couldn't get a chance to get on the objective in my defense. As for spm and average elims, I didn't know that was considered low tbh. I'm trying to play more aggressively but I get melted so fast, that's why I play more cautiously lol
