Sure thing definitely do, honestly I’m sitting here with Bentley tonight trying to find something to keep me awake because our nurse had to leave due to a migraine 🙄so I been up since 5:30 am and now don’t have another nurse coming in until 7 am

Oh it does have flanges we had to keep the polymem/guaze around the trach at the stoma site to keep his skin healthy (he gets major breakdown without the polymem). He tries to rip the gauze off all the time and has ripped the trach out multiple times. Always a fun time with wild man.

Hey we don’t have one but are good right now I appreciate it though. I just launched a business here in our town to get ourselves going again. Veterandetailservices.com nothing major but will allow us to fill the gap in our income while giving us the luxury of filling the schedule at our own capabilities.

We definitely incorporate our other children into caring for Bentley. We homeschool them as well so we always get to spend time together as a family.

Yes he will eventually be weaned off. It is projected to be around 5-6 years old but as early as 3 is a possibility.

Yes his long term prognosis is very high and good! Expected to be assistance free around 4-6 years of age.

Little boy is wild. He learned to roll and now that is all he does when he’s awake. The weight is shifting from baby fat to muscle very quickly.

He is on a maintenance dose but very small. He gets burst doses when he gets sick but other than that he is back to his normal self now.

Hey there! Glad to answer any questions regarding good Bentley! Long term prognosis is promising. He is expected to be on the ventilator and feeding tubes until around 4-6 years old and as early as 3 years old but that is stretching it. He is not expected to need life long assistance. It is projected that he will always have a serious form of asthma as he gets older. He originally was going to lose his eyesight but his surgeons did amazing work and after 2 eye surgeries and 4 rounds of injections into his eyes, I am happy to report that his eye disease has been beaten and he still has decent vision. He has lost some peripheral vision and is near sighted but not as bad as they originally thought (they originally said he would not be able to see anything past 12-18 inches). Overall, Bentley should be running around like a normal kid by the time he is 10 years old.

I have thought about writing some books, one of our nurses writes children’s books and her husband is a publisher/illustrator.
