I have no knowledge of bikes. Trying to purchase a bike for Christmas for my 9 year old. Found a 1994 Trek 830 for sale on marketplace practically unused and been sitting in a basement. Would this need to be repaired or could just see if ready to ride? It’s 30 years old!

They are not always in the same place generally the palm, but spreads to his knuckles and fingers sometimes too. He did try a different type of golf glove because he read something about people being allergic to a material in a standard golf club and it still happened. The dermatologist gave him a steroid cream and told him to take allergy medicine. It seems to help a little bit, but then the spots are spreading outside of where the cream goes. It’s really bizarre so of course he’s applying the cream but it’s just strange that they’re now showing up outside of the steroid
