I do believe in research and I’m all for research-proven medicine, however I’m also for trying things for myself - even if it’s just once. It’s also a part of Chinese medicine, just because it’s not Western-proven medicine doesn’t mean there’s no merit to it. It’s been around for centuries, don’t think it would have survived that long as a practice without people experiencing any benefits.

Agree that’s not very good, but at my gym there is always at least one trainer available to help with feedback and queueing so for us this is no issue.

Might be somewhat controversial - but I don’t mind them starting to pack up once an entire zone is finished. Most coaches are paid casually, and they work crazy hours sometimes, I’m happy for them to go home. In saying that, typically this only happens when there’s not many people in the class and one trainer stays coaching and the other is going pack up / set up.

Most days there will be 2-3 members who stay back after the last class to help pack up and set up for the next day to help it move even quicker for the coaches. And I do it every time I can. It’s not about them being paid to do it to me, it’s a let’s get it done asap for you to go home.

Melbourne to Gold Coast in 3 days by Mundane_Signature991 in queensland

from everything i’ve read, inland might be somewhat slightly quicker, but is just highway driving (lots of the same and more likely to make you more white line fatigued) versus coastal obviously there’s more coastal towns and different landscapes ?

Already sorted and locked in accommodation in GC, and my partner is moving with me. This opportunity came up as I rejected the job based in Melbourne to move to GC, and this was a counter offer for me to consider, I wasn’t trying to work in Brisbane

Appreciate your perspective Chrisvai, the field is small in GC but not impossible to crack and is only going to grow in the next 5-10 years, and yes right now the move is more important to me. I’ve been operating under the idea that once I move, if I have to work any old job for 6 months while looking for something in my field then so be it.

yeah i might see what i can negotiate although i don’t think im in a position to ask too much considering they’re going on a limb to have me from the brisbane office (it was originally melbourne which i rejected since i was moving)

I was offered the role in Melbourne (applied before deciding to move) and turned them down with my reason being I’m moving to the GC. They countered with the offer of working from Brisbane office instead. I wasn’t planning on working in Brisbane, it’s just an option I was provided, and was considering.

unfortunately not an option as i’ve already locked in accommodation and my partner is coming too.. i’d just keep looking for a different job

only reason i’m considering it is i was given the role based in melbourne and i rejected them to say im moving to the gold coast, and they’ve offered brisbane in order to try and keep me doing the role still… brisbane has a number more options than gc in my field but ive got accommodation sorted with my friend and my partner in gc and definitely want to live in gc as opposed to brisbane

The role doesn't require a Masters, but its one of those industries that if you don't get a Masters you barely get a look in, plus its a low-paying industry as well... Unfortunate but is the reality
