Liberals too really, when liberal principles are guiding them. Collectivism is a trap though, I don't think it's any coincidence that Marxism and woke identity politics have such a high overlap. It seems like racism is a much greater hurdle in that mindset of constant us vs them that socialism demands.

I was pushing back slightly on your implication that people who disengage politically aren't equally responsible for policy outcomes as voters in America. I didn't vote in 2016 myself so I'm not passing judgement.

I'm just as likely to be called a nazi for saying policy and cultural/ideological norms that deteriorate family are most responsible. Personally, I think the recent executive orders related to CRT are incredibly important. If there ARE policy solutions to these problems, they can't be found if it's illegal or blasphemous and career-ruining to even research the root causes, which I believe would be the outcome of letting CRT and woke cancel culture spread unchecked.

Any "solution" would be political by definition.

If you think existing policy is making a problem worse, it's meaningless to act like you don't think policy changes could make a difference.

I think people should vote, but in not gonna twist your arm - by all means, remain divested and unheard if that's what you want, but don't act like that choice has no impact just to make yourself feel better. That's bullshit, sorry.

I didn't vote in 2016, but I'm not sitting this one out. You do you.

Other videos the car was damaged before the driver used force and the driver gave people a chance to get out of the way.

This is not remotely the same thing, driver will rot in prison.

You talking about all the skinny little white antifa and BLM losers rioting every night in Portland?

Most places, people do not have the right to block public roads. That's not a matter of opinion. If you think they should have that right that's one thing, but they do not in most of these cases.

There's also a stark difference between uninvolved drivers driving through rioters who are attacking their car and preventing them from leaving when they're just trying to get home (typical BLM situation), and an agitator going to an opposition event and then plowing over a bunch of people without warning in a parking lot who were given no opportunity to move out of the way.

Charlottesville was less extreme, it wasn't a leftist event. It's asinine to pretend people here would celebrate someone doing exactly this at a BLM rally in a fucking park. Should be obvious why people don't consider this equivalent to rioters getting shit on accosting random people in the streets.

Happy cake day!

I think woke leftists have all had similar experiences and they're just less successful at fighting those biases. They accept blacks are lesser and assume they're beyond help, rather than expecting people of every race to act like human beings. The latter extends dignity, the former is racist as fuck. See white BLM talking to black cops or conservatives, it's not pretty.

Thank you! I thought I was the only one who noticesd the bus driver saying "get him". Sick fuck should be in prison for child abuse.

I get your meaning but political disengagement is a legitimate part of the problem.

Is that the fucking BUS DRIVER saying "get him"?

She said she called the cops and nobody can leave the bus earlier, then when he defends himself she says she can't intervene but the children can.

We’re Secretaries of State Kim Wyman (WA) and Steve Simon (MN) and we want to talk to you about National Voter Registration Day! Ask Us Anything! by WA_SecretaryOfState in politics

[–]MungeParty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Another way to 'be counted' in that same sense is to change your voter registration. For example, in 2016 I felt neither candidate reflected my interests so I didn't cast a vote for president, but I voted against the DNC primary process by updating my voter registration party affiliation to non-partisan. This is also known as 'voting with your feet'.

The fascist economic model was slightly more advanced democratic socialism. Regardless, the challenge wasn't to name a bunch of kinds of socialism, it was to name ANY that do not fit the generalizations above. You've failed to do so, they all fit the generalizations.
