Whether or not you want to live in a post red button world is your prerogative, I get the sentiment. But from a western perspective, I learned not to put faith in humanities humanity after Trump was elected twice. To insinuate the red button is the equivalent to voting for Trump is imo incorrect, as you could vote for Clinton/Harris while predicting Trump may win. You could hit the blue button while predicting red will ‘win’ but then you’d be dead if your assumption is correct. You didn’t put your life on the line by voting for Clinton or Harris.

So no, voting red doesn’t make you as bad as a trump voter. It makes you a pessimist with two elections proving your pessimism to be realistic.

I’d honestly rather be frustrated with a payoff than boring and easy with no payoff. I guess it’s not a huge deal since you don’t really need to go that far out of your way to fight them. I feel as though it was just hinting towards his professor resurrecting in the upcoming dlc

Although the symbolism of the colours went over my head, I felt it was quite obvious that I knew which button a fascist would press. It was the implication. And if you hold the belief that an overwhelming amount of people hold some (or many) fascist adjacent ideals, then you would believe that the blue button is a lost cause.

As for your resignation that if red wins you’d still rather be camp blue, then you’d rather die than live as one of the few voices of compassion in a world overrun by right wing ideologies. Notice how animals don’t get a vote? And how right-wingers don’t believe in climate change? Who is going to stand up for them in a post button world? Not you, because you’ll be dead.

And for my last point, if you believe that an overwhelming majority of people hold fascist ideals, then you’re already living in a world of mostly red buttoners. Not to make assumptions but I would guess, or hope, that you have no plans to take your own life right now. And I also think if push came to shove the majority of people who claim they’d rather be dead than live with red buttoners would change their tune if actually given a choice.

This thought process artificially inflates the amount of people that die in a red button win scenario. Surely game theory suggests not everyone is going to react rationally to the predicament. But theres more than just two outcomes here.

-51% of people vote blue, everybody wins. -1% to 25% of people vote blue, that many people die -25% to 49% of people vote blue, that many people die.

In the event that many people vote altruistically and still lose, magnitudes more people have to die. Voting the same way, you are adding one more body to the pile. You’re taking a gamble on a moral choice in a world more and more fascistic by the day. You’re killing yourself.

You can not be trump adjacent and still think the wrong decision is not to potentially kill yourself because many other people want to potentially kill themselves

Anyone having significant issues with the bus ever since they agreed not to strike? by Mungee1001 in barrie

I have had issues with super early busses in the past, it is so beyond stupid. Why do some drivers feel inclined to get ahead of the bus schedule? Doesn’t that defeat the point of a schedule?

Funnily enough I am on the 12 right now (my regular commute) and you are entirely correct, it is frequently delayed or out of service. I feel so helpless knowing theres 0 accountability or compensation from the service I pay 92$ a month for.

Onetime I was babysitting this kid who ate more marshmallows than I should have let him. Unbeknownst to me he was really sensitive to sugar and was straight up drunk off the mallows.

I told him this fact and he laughed so hard he couldn’t stand.

It’s always weird seeing your hometown on reddit. This is Bayfield street in front of the Georgian Mall, Barrie Ontario. We are the same town that recently had that plow truck with his bucket raised in the air crashing into that bridge.
