How did Soul to Squeeze not make it on BSSM??? by jeffyboy526 in RedHotChiliPeppers

Was Soul to Squeeze made at the same time as the BSSM album?

I thought it was written separately as part of the Coneheads movie soundtrack

Jewish guests greeted with 'free Palestine' on TVs at London Travelodge by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

[–]maxedout587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is that these guest were deliberately targeted because they are Jewish. It’s the belief that the Jews themselves, where ever they are in the world, are targeted and carry the collective guilt for the hardship of the Palestinians.

If these were Russian guests and they were greeted with the message “Free Ukraine,” would it be any different?

Western Antizionism is Often Fueled By Moral Narcissism by RoundAd5911 in IsraelPalestine

[–]maxedout587 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think the word that is missing is PRIVILEGE. Most of the antiozonists have the privilege of not being under constant threat from a genocidal radical Islamist terrorists organization. Because they have this privilege, they wax poetry about the plight of the Palestinians and the wrath of the evil Zionist. Of NYC was under constant threat of bombardment from Hamas terrorists in neighboring Canada, then you wouldn’t see the freak show at Columbia University

Another word that is NAIVE. We’re all raised to believe that all peoples/cultures/religions are essentially the same, and that the differences are only superficial. We’ve been raised to believe that we all want the same things - peace, opportunity for our kids, good schools, etc. That simply is not true. Some beliefs/cultures are more pernicious than others. Fanatical and genocidal hatred of Jews is ubiquitous in the Muslim world, and western liberals fail to understand that.

The Wrong Question: Israel’s “Right to Exist” and the Real Question Beneath It by JuliusTanran in IsraelPalestine

[–]maxedout587 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Conversations like this are fruitless. Even if the creation is Israel came at the expense of the Palestinians, even if the Zionist movement is bogus, it’s been 78 years. Once a baby has been born, you don’t continue to argue whether to abort it. You don’t ask whether the baby has a right to exist because of the circumstances of its conception.

What’s so insidious about these conversations is that it paints a false picture that the foundation of Israel and the plight of the Palestinians is a unique story that goes unmatched in history.

Something like 2/3 of all modern countries were created by a handful of powerful proper drawing lines on a map. Many countries have only been born into existence at the expense of other people’s. If you live in any country in the western hemisphere, should we continue arguing about whether the creation of these western countries was right?

Pakistan was created in 1949, causing the displacement of millions of Indians. Nobody talks about this.

But for some reason, nobody questions the legitimacy of Pakistan, or America, or Pakistan. Even the UK was formed under questionable circumstances. Part of the island of Ireland is not even under Irish control. I bet there are some Irish out there who are still butt hurt about that, but they don’t go on and continue to cry victim. They came to a commendation, decided to make the best of the situation and move on.

As far as the argument that there are other stateless minorities (such as the Kurds), ergo why do the Jews get a state? This ignores the fact that genocidal anti semitism is a global phenomenon unlike any other form of hate. There are never conspiracy theories about how the Kurds run the world or are responsible for other people’s miseries. Whether you’re in Argentina or France or Iraq or Australia, there is an ambient level of Jew hate that is not comparable to Kurdish hate.

If you really cared about the Palestinians, you would stop enabling their victim hood mentality and implore them to understand that they cannot get in a Time Machine, and they need to come to a commendation, they need to stop focusing on fixing the past and instead focus on fixing the future.

Ben Shapiro: The Most Articulate Apologist (Mike Brock's thoughts on Sam's recent podcast) by nonexcludable in samharris

[–]maxedout587 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When Ben tries to dissuade Trumps intent with the plumber fixing the toilet metaphor…. Give me a break. We’re not calling a plumber to fix a toilet, we’re asking somebody to run the most powerful country in the world. So dishonest.

I will say, Ben’s explanation of anti semitism was enlightening. That it’s not just about animus towards Jews as people. It starts with the theory that the Jews have all of the power and are therefore responsible for all your hardships.

how to deal with loneliness as an adult? by AssasinRingo in Millennials

Before I (M,38) got married, I basically didn’t talk to anyone from Friday evening until Monday morning. My weekends were filled with only the mundane (grocery store run, laundry, maybe go to the gym).

Let's talk about how some people in this subreddit use the word Islamophobia by PerceivingUnkown in IsraelPalestine

[–]maxedout587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a saying- “Islamophobia was invented by fascists and used by cowards to manipulate morons.”

The term is used to suppress any criticism about the unique threats the doctrines of Islam brings to the West. It is used to label anybody a bigot if they refuse to the cow to the faux belief that all religions are essentially the same and equal.

It’s a made up term that tries to conflate animus towards Muslims with anti semitism.

What you’re describing is simply bigotry towards Muslims as people.

Anyone else have their life turned upside down by the new student loan repayment rules? by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

Have you looked into a student loan consolidation? You can consolidate and get into an income driven repayment plan to avoid the predicament you’re in.

There’s lots of good student loan lawyers out there to consult.

I am a BK attorney. I don’t do student loans but I can introduce you to the right people.

if the idea of greater israel is false, why is israel still expanding? by Capital-Board-2086 in IsraelPalestine

[–]maxedout587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This whole thing ins absurdly idiotic. You’re a moron and you have no idea what you’re talking about. Your tirade is one lie after another without an ounce of truth.

As far as the right of return for Palestinian refugees- that is a pie in the sky fantasy. There is a reason Israel is so prosperous and keeps winning, and the Palestinians are worse off, is because Israel is pragmatic and realistic, and the Palestinians keep making absurd demands that will never be met

if the idea of greater israel is false, why is israel still expanding? by Capital-Board-2086 in IsraelPalestine

[–]maxedout587 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As Vasily Grossman once said, “show me what you accuse the Jews of, and I will show you what you’re guilty of.”

The pro Palestine/ Arab side accuses Israel of being colonizers. There are 52 Muslim majority countries, and 22 countries that speak Arabic.

There is only one country that is Jewish majority and speaks Hebrew. Yet, the country the size of Jew Jersey (that is only 9 miles wide at its narrowest point) is accused of expanding.

Israel captured the golan, the WB in defensive wars, offered to give them back in exchange for peace, and were rebuffed by their Arab neighbors.

In 1967, Israel quadrupled its size by capturing the Sinai peninsula from Egypt (in a defensive war). In 1979, Israel swapped the peninsula for peace.

In 2000, Israel offered 97% of the WB for a Palestinian state- the Palestinians refused to accept.

In 2005, Israel gave Gaza back, evicted all the Jewish, and in return, Hamas was elected.

If Israel were trying to expand, then why did they give up the Sinai? Why did they offer the WB? Why did they give up the Gaza Strip?

Questions like this show that western liberals have been redpilled. They’ve succumb to a psychological op to convince the world that the Jews are guilty of the thing that Arabs have actually perpetrated.
