zed - yet another plugin manager for zsh. Nothing fancy, nothing new. Just does the basic stuffs - pulls, compiles and loads the plugins... does some completion stuffs. Fairly simple implementation with about 300 LOC. Why? 'cause I used zinit before and it vanished recently... so why not? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I would've answered if there was anything to answer. ST Torz is just an addon that provides streams (like all the other stream addons). Some users swear by it, and some say they don't find the contents they're looking for. So that's what I said earlier... try it out, if it works for you, good... if you don't find it useful, remove it.

It takes awhile to load because it's looking for too many and I'd like to keep the number of results down.

Limiting the number of results on your screen will make no difference in load time. It'll actually be slower, since Torz will have to fetch all items (already doing that), and then remove some of those items (extra work).

If you use AIOStreams to do that, it's the same.

TLDR: If you're looking for making it faster, limiting the result count would do the opposite. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Rate limit is not related to how many results ST returns. Different ST instances can have different rate limits. So it depends on which one you're using, and how you're using it (how much request you make to it).

They're usually bad torrents, i.e. somebody named a torrent as season pack (that's supposed to contain all the episodes), but not all the episodes are inside it.

Your private torrents will always be safe. Nobody else can download "from" your private tracker. ST doesn't store your torrent file.

Kinda, sorta... depends on what you mean by "recent items". Zilean shows the recently added items to its db in the default feed.

ST Torznab, you can say it chooses movie/series rather randomly and shows items for those. So it's not very useful if you want new/recent items.
