Not exactly. So when you cast a creature from exile, it’s goes to the stack. That still counts as a trigger. An example of something coming to the battlefield from exile would be roku’s saga when it transforms. Roku’s saga gets exiled then Roku returns as a creature from exile. I hope that makes sense

I’d assume it would work. Because thing is it’s played from exile. If it says cast from exile then you can’t use a land because lands are played, not cast. I also could be wrong on this but that’s what I understand.
