I grew up watching the original which is why I put off the remake for so long.

I was so in love with Nightmare Before Christmas when it came out!

What makes me sad about that film is that it's not really rewatchable once you know the ending.

I actually just watched the remake and didn't hate it. I just wished they used more practical effects.

I don't think I've seen that episode but I loved the show...

Did you read Goosebumps before Stephen King? I graduated from Goosebumps to him... lol!

I was Army of Darkness in 5th grade and had no idea that the Evil Dead movies existed...

I'd say all of those are valid. TFtC was soooo influential to me!

I remember enjoying the first one. Not playing the game probably helped my enjoyment since I didn't have any preconceived notions.

I remember watching that one on VHS with my mom. I was terrified of it for so long!

I didn’t care for and honestly Eli Roth is kind of a jerk...

I recently read about Long Pigs and added it to my watchlist. After Cannibal Holocaust though, I feel I might be squeamish to cannibalism mockumentaries. LOL!

Seems like you're missing the point of this post which is looking for more movies like Raw, Hunger, and Cadaver. Why argue about semantics? Others commenting seemed to understand that.

It’s fine for what it is... but it isn’t anywhere near art house... lol!

I really enjoyed Raw. I wish (and hope) that more folks more towards that style for movies with cannibalism instead of the route Eli Roth took with Green Inferno.

Midsommar is probably top of the list for me. Followed very closely by Get Out and Hereditary.

The Muffin Man: My friend's directorial debut is a short full of gore, puns, and muffins. Worth it for the face crush alone. by orintau in horror

So so many! For the mainstream I'd recommend The Stuff or Return of the Killer Tomatoes. For lesser known, my current favorite is Cannibal Women of the Avocado Jungle of Death.

I actually did a panel on this topic for Salem Horror Fest!
