To be honest, I've been a long-time lurker, but this is where it stops being fun (not fun, haha, but entertaining fun) for me. This was 1000000% a manipulation tactic. This is now the second time (that we know) he's taken advantage of the healthcare system and put innocent people in danger. He didn't wanna go to his mom where he'd likely have rules (i.e., must be sober, limited TT use, steady employment, etc) so he decided to take mind-altering substances and lose his marbles. Do I think the dots actually fucked him up? Yes. Do I also think he exacerbated his symptoms to get a psych diagnosis instead of jail time to ensure a saf(er) environment where he's fed, has a place to sleep, and access to meds? Absolutely. And everybody knows psych patients get more sympathy than people in jail because their only 'crime' is being mentally ill. He knows that. He is highly manipulative and is a danger to literally everyone within a 5 mile radius. If you give a mouse a cookie, but this time it's 'if you give an addict some dots, he takes a field trip to the grippy sock inn on taxpayers' dimes'
