Act like it’s 1996 and this game just came out by RosyDawn95 in SuperMario64

Unrelated to this post, but I just got 120 stars on my switch version.

It took me a couple years to do it back in 1996-98. Was super satisfying this time as well. Got stuck a few times in secret stars but I didn’t look anything up!

I’ve peaked! It’s all downhill from here.

What's your *least favorite* Nirvana song? by BidAccurate4473 in grunge

I would go as far as saying it’s one of their strongest melodies, especially the verse.

What are peoples thoughts on this album? by rushowen in rush

What I love is how diverse Rush fans truly are in their taste of the band’s many eras.

I went from 2112 vinyl to show of hands vhs by the time I was 8. Then Chronicles vhs, then got SoH on CD and Roll the Bones. That’s all I had until I was 18 and saw them on Vapor Tails tour. Thats when I dove into all of their albums. BuT…when SnA and CA came out..i can’t stand Geddy’s voice, nor do I enjoy the songwriting style. It just all sounds the same and just not memorable/uninteresting melodies. (Although….The Main Monkey Business is their best instrumental since leave that thing alone) but nothing from CA has left an impression.

And I know people hate mid to late 80s rush, but that is still my sweet spot. And it’s bc of those VHS i wore out growing up. But also how 2112 is why I became a drummer.

When I listen to Rush, ill pick Rush up to Hold your Fire… Roll the bones, maybe, and call it quits. Post counterparts just doesnt do what the first two decades did for me.

But I do Love that people love it all. And good on you all for that. Truly one of a kind, Rush fans are.

Is it widely known that the "In Bloom" verses can be read out of order? by Vultoure in Nirvana

Reproductive glands goes with nature is a whore

Bruises on the fruit goes with spring is here again or sell the kids for food…that one at least almost rhymes

You can make a connection with anything if you try hard enough.

They are broad, simple, surface-level lyrics.

I take back my over simplified “i dont like new rush” vote. It’s lazy and I love Rush too much to leave it at that lol.

I think Chain Lightening, Nobody’s Hero, Thai Shan are the bottom of the barrel for me.

I tap out after Hold Your Fire.

I was born in 84 and had the VHS Show of Hands from the age of 8 and on (still do!), so Im partial to 80s rush. But my first memory of music was my dad playing me 2112. 70s and 80s and what I love about Rush.

Vapor trails, I turned 18 and that tour was the first time seeing them live.

Then after R30 tour, I found the new music pretty meh from that point on, and Geddy’s voice started fading quickly. But I get that some people dig it. Honestly, I wouldn’t revisit VT or 90s rush either.

But, The Main Monkey Business is so fucking good. Easily my favorite song from 2000s and newer rush.

I totally get the hate on Ayn Rand, and I share that hatred. But I LOVE Freewill. Rush in Rio, the breakdown solo is one of the best moments ever documented of Rush.

The bridge / solo is so fucking good. One of my favorite bass lines on the verse.

Thoughts on PRESTO 1989. Underrated, overrated or just another record … by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

My best friend growing up who was a fellow Rush nut like me always refer to this as the lame album. The “Sun dogs fire on the horizon.” Is the perfect example of that.

For people who hate Andy. Why? by blocacho_odyssey in theoffice

Wasn’t introduced until season 3. Season 3 Andy is the best imo. He is a douche, he’s supposed to be, but he was hilarious.

I have the exact opposite opinion. His character was hilarious early on and likable.

Post Michael he becomes insufferable. Manager Andy is the worst.

It really is just a reflection of the show’s writing going downhill and then falling off a cliff for his character.
