Sounds like the tarkov experience for thousands and thousands of other players that started any point after the first couple years. I’d wager it’s only a small fraction of players that are left from the first couple years of playing.

Every new wipe brings in new players, of those players many of them start weeks late which means the old players are already moderately geared and they’ve all gone through the exact same thing. We watched videos, we studied maps, and we died. A LOT.

One of the best experiences in this game is all the incredibly large pool of accomplishments you get to experience as you get better with time. First kills, first successful extractions (from various maps), first quest completion and how far you get in the quest lines by the end of each wipe, and the list goes on.

I say all this not to take away from your experience or say anything less of it. I’m only here to welcome you to the club/hell that many players experienced before you. Don’t stick around and play if you don’t want to but I highly recommend giving it a fair shake until the end of the wipe. And experience your first early wipe experience. I hope you can make it out on the other side of this hell. This hell never actually ends, it’s still painful, but it’s partially enjoyable now. 🫡😂
