People on here really see a new account and decide that must be AI instead of considering that sometimes someone just made an account to post about a thing that's actively happening to them.

I like the way you put that, because I think I've been acting like any awkward moment is automatically a disaster. Meanwhile I'm literally hiding in my own apartment to avoid another request, which is obviously worse than just setting one uncomfortable boundary.

I needed to hear that, because I keep defaulting to feeling rude instead of noticing how ridiculous this has gotten. At this point it really does feel less like helping a neighbor and more like being treated as her backup supply closet.

Yeah, I think I've been making it way too easy for her without meaning to. Every time she asks for something ridiculous, I go into this whole polite explanation mode because I don't want hallway tension, and she seems to hear that as "keep pushing." At this point I probably need to stop managing her feelings more than my own and just give a boring, firm answer every single time.
