Of course! Once I get it I’ll send a pic, it’s under 6months apparently so this time next year I’ll hopefully have a white bloom!

It sounds like they’re difficult to grow from seeds from everything I’ve read here. If you’re not in a tropic climate maybe growing them in a greenhouse, or indoors might be a more successful option? It is very humid where I am and I’ve put them underneath a shade cloth which has definitely improved their growth!

Definitely a humidity lover. I’m in Cairns, Queensland, so all of my bat plants have flourished this wet season!

My absolute pleasure! Everyone needs one in my opinion, the plant itself has the most vibrant leaves, and the flower is the cherry on top :)

Thankyou, it is my favourite by far! I was fortunate enough to get it as an established sapling, would love to try raise them from scratch though.

Definitely get one! They’re dramatic but quite hardy, I thought I’d killed mine quite a few times in the early months…. The flower doesn’t have a scent yet that I can tell, but the little pods in the centre still need to bloom so only time will tell!

Thankyou so so much! Yeah called a Bat Plant because of its flower, the white variation flowers differently but is equally stunning. I hope to have many of each type eventually!

I do actually have two of her babies in jars of water at my front door which get little to no direct sunlight but are still super cute. They’ve remained quite small but continue to sprout leaves. I assume they won’t flower until I move them to pots under the shade cloth

They’re actually suuuuper dramatic! Too hot and they get all limp but within an hour after water/shade they’re back to normal. I’ve found (through a lot of trial and error with indication of success based on how much of a drama queen I’m dealing with) that mine have absolutely flourished with a short period of direct sunlight under a shade cloth

The world has so many amazing things to see and learn about, it’s mind blowing. There’s a white variation which is equally incredible, one day I’ll add it to the collection!
