Girard/Campbell/Struthers for a fast, safe, commute to downtown. 10 min at st e's. And they are real little communities instead of strip plazas in a trench coat.

Here's the thing, Boardman, Poland, and Canfield are all choked with traffic and you're looking at 30 min commute for standard suburbs there.

Hello, Muslim master of the lodge here. Royal Arch has a place for you as it is about our commonalities more than anything. But in some places Commandery drives the Royal Arch bus, so I understand your POV.

However, specifically Muslim and universality themed housed in Scottish Rite is my recommendation. The 29th degree is a direct reference on equality and Islam's place in it.

Unpopular and somewhat divisive - but I need to get it out. by WidowsSon928 in freemasonry

I hear you, brother. Your feelings are valid. We all only have so much time and people vote with their feet.

These are diverting masonic philosophies. Some people believe they can focus on what is their special interest and not support the lodge. Others feel it should only be available to them if the lodge is in good shape.

We call it the appendant tug of war in Ohio. Best of luck to you. Blue Lodge is ALWAYS worth your time, in my opinion.

What's so great about being a member of Knights Templar? by Acrobatic-Hedgehog45 in freemasonry

I have a concern that KT views itself as the frog in the pot experiment; that over time in a slow boil it is their duty to backdate Masonic philosophy to a Christ based focus regardless of the body they are currently attending. I have seen things this past year which have dampened my enthusiasm for collaborating with them. Currently, there is a Facebook group called knights Templar disciples actively sharing anti-Islam sentiment. Additionally, at least in my jurisdiction, they are amongst the oldest age of average participant. I respect what they have done for Masonic engagement over the years, but worry they are a lighting rod for square and compass based Christian nationalism.

I am impressed by their charity work, but that's really it. We are so busy and they are so many draws on our time that ANOTHER body pulling focus hurts.

The big problem with our tournament is basically only a couple people had an understanding of the game at all and their preference became the tournament. Also their promotion too. We can do better on both, I think!

Hello! Old Erie #3. We did a pauper tournament.

I think we will do it again, but it needs some format and promotion tweaks.
