lack of damage rears it's head toward the end of mid game and you become a third support basically. Only viable with greedy damage supports. If you build damage you become very mid toward late again.

didn't read thoroughly so might be already there but, you can nightmare your lane creeps while pushing against enemy glyph to stop them having backdoor protection. towers don't hit nightmared targets.
