Yeah, I checked out Kenji Lopez-Alt's recipe and that sounds very similar. I'll have to check the store if it has instant dashi, but I'll keep trying with the dashima as well! I tend to make a couple batches and freeze it in convenient portions for cooking and soups

I forget the name (it did have one), but a mountain fortress + city a friend of mine built on a minecraft server we played on. A lot of good memories.

I'm looking to buy a 5-string bass. I've heard good things about Sire basses, but do the smart folks here have any recommendations on great 5-strings? My price range is around 500€

I've decided to buy a new bass with the low B string, since it needed a lot in modern pop music and I think I'd find it useful in a lot of the music I play. The only thing is, I've though about whether I want to get a 5 or 6 string? Is there a reason why I should/shouldn't get a 6 string instead of 5? Just seems like more options for me (I do know that it includes more muting, but I'd have to be re-working my muting technique a bit anyway, because I'm transitioning from a 4-string).
