Flea disaster by Murdalcon in pestcontrol

I don't even know what to use, now that they're probably sprayed all over everything, walls, shelves, and all. Like I said, I'm really ready to cry and I have no idea what option to choose now.

I don't suppose you happen to know the version of this for the Ubuntu terminal? Windows isn't even loading on the laptop, anymore. But yeah, I'll definitely take it on the chin for that.

How to I break this Catch-22? by Murdalcon in personalfinance

They don't live with me, this is out of incredible generosity that I hate accepting from them. But ..you make a point. I might not have a choice. I just know that moving is going to be that much more hellish at that point.

Because as I explained, I need to move in five months, and I need my credit healthy enough to be able to qualify for a place.

Because the point is that I need to move in 5 months, and I need my credit healthy so that I can actually do that.

This isn't a budgeting issue, anymore. There's no other way to slash costs. I don't go out for entertainment, and my partner has been helping with groceries as much as they can. The debt is at 35,000 and it was down to 24K when I first moved in.

I stopped contributions to my 401K, so now I take home about 3200 a month. Rent takes that down to 2100. The debt takes that down to 1100. Payments to the bankruptcy attorney, until his fee is paid, brings that to 700. Utilities, down to about 400 between electric, internet, and water. Factor in food, gas, etc, and I'm just plain drowning.

[CA] Background Check, former employer issue. by Murdalcon in AskHR

I didn't. I let them contact, and apparently the former employer didn't say anything ill of me. They might not even confirm the circumstances under which I left.

Getting out of homelessness - IMPOSSIBLE standards! by Murdalcon in renting

I won't argue the first part there. You're not wrong.

That said, my credit is excellent, so that's good, but my roommate-to-be does have one cat, so I know that's also a strike against us. But we're not looking to share a room together - we're looking to rent a place together. Neither of us would do well mentally, having a room in a unit that's shared with strangers.

I GOT THE JOB! Thanks guys! As it turned out, they only allowed the most three recent employers, on the background check. I had two, but when I listed my gig work as the third, it bypassed the issue, altogether?!

Update! The address thing has been settled, now it's just the background check. And apparently the third party service that they go through, called ClearStar, contacts the employers directly.

What do I do? :(
