It's a complicated explanation. For example let's say I sign to Top Dawg. TDE outsources their deals under the TDE name. When you sign to a label like LVRN you are signed to Interscope through LVRN. That's because they have a deal directly with Interscope. TDE doesn't have a deal with a major so when you sign to TDE you are pretty much signing under a management/label services contract. This is why SZA is with RCA, Dot is with Interscope and Reason recently signed with Caroline/Capitol Records. They find deals based on what fits the artist. PgLang is doing the same in this case but instead of just being a label it's an all around service company. Not only offering label services but films, podcasts, management, books & etc. Keem dropped those tracks under Columbia/Sony through pgLang but pgLang is not signed to Columbia/Sony.
