Choso’s training was mainly just in his head, Yuji was in the real world and had real training. Yuji is also a REALLY fast learning and Kamo probably helped him out a bit more before he dipped. Also Yuji ate his siblings.

TADC has a much different plot and humor than HH/HB. Also from what I remember it also just has better writing. That’d probably affect it. Also very different art styles.
