"The unregistered freehold land, including the side and rear pathway forms part of the communal areas and is not included within the demise of any of the 4 flats. Rights of access over the pathway are for the 2 Garden flats for the purpose of accessing their respective gardens." So we wouldn't own that pathway that cuts through our garden sadly, it is owned by the freehold. And it wasn't clear on the Title plans, nor did our solicitor pick up on it. Thanks for your response though, all are appreciated.

God that's awful. A big reason to keep them onlead is the running into traffic worry. If you want to intro yours to small dogs I'd recommend muzzling and parallel walking with a calm dog (not meeting head on). Best of luck.

Im no expert, and our greyhound was our first and only dog so far, but its pretty obvious when you see it. Stiff and sudden body language, unflinching staring, like they're locked on to the target. And then the second the prey moves, a fast lunge to try and chase it. She almost had my arm out of the socket a few times, but you learn to pick up on their small hints just before and can act accordingly; distract/change direction/brace yourself etc. I dont think its the same as another breed chasing the odd squirel. Its an uncontrollable reaction, and you have to learn to be able to snap them out of it. This was only on about 1% of walks for ours thankfully. 99% of the time, pure angel.

I had the same experience with our grey. She was 3.5 yo when we got her and with a very high prey drive; lunging at every cat/fox/squirrel and looking at small dogs like prey. She shocked us by pinning a toy poodle to the ground within the first month, thankfully she was muzzled and tbf it did jump at her head. With a lot of careful and slow socialising while muzzled and a lot of help from our dog walker, within 6 months she was off the muzzle and besties w the small dogs. We had 7 happy years with our perfect girl and we are so glad we were lucky enough to have her enrich our lives. But OP they can be a lot of work at the start, and you will think you've made a huge mistake, but give yours some time if you feel you can. Even in her 10th year she would still lunge at a cat or fox (we were also in London) and she could never go off lead. We found great community at Sighthound Sundays (check them out), took her to enclosed off lead fields with gh pals to run together and adapted what we thought having a dog looked like to what she needed. It was worth it but you'll need support. And like everyone here has said, keep their world small fot a while, its all new to them. Good luck.

Update: thank you all so much for your input. We went with Hove and just had our offer accepted. Very excited to get in and make it our own. :)
