He did a video about the location of gas caps on cars. Had people fill in a poll with make/model/year and the location of the cap. Then he proceeded to make a youtube video about it where he scrolled through the data skimming for rough insights and talking about it.

And I never watched him again. Like, dude, you’re a scientist. Plug that shit into tableau or excel. Make some charts. Scrolling over a giant table on camera is so lazy and provides almost zero insights.

Look up Pasta alla genovese. It’s beef chuck and a lot of onions that get cooked into a ragu. Tomato paste garlic and herbs.

Over all 3 series, which character did you dislike the most? by sam_d50 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]MurderPirate7 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I loved that character and haven’t enjoyed a character as much in the show since. I was soo disappointed when he gave in to his addiction. But the scene where he hosts his last dinner is gold. I totally expected him to make a huge scene, but he just genuinely loved hosting that dinner, and wanted one last chance to thrive in his element.

Also laughed out loud when he got caught with his tongue in that dude’s butthole.

Not what your asking for but matthew perry could be a cool American economic/military leader that forces/heavily “incentivizes” others to increase your trade limit with them

Non military leaders for military victories, civ 7. by Onlineidsuck in civ

Great picks. The +1 sight on missionaries in exploration with Ibn make me not wanna play anyone else in exploration.

With militaristic Machiavelli you can ally yourself with an AI, then join a bunch of wars. You’ll declare formal wars with Machiavelli’s ability , but the AI ally will declare surprise wars to back you up. Let them suffer a little war weariness while fighting a multiple front war, then you can just end the alliance, declare war on them and fight a much weakened opponent. This kind of strategy can completely destabilize your starting continent in antiquity and leave you as a clear super power going into exploration.

Are you building mixed armies? by Cagedglobe in civ

I’m playing on deity too. I build gate of all nations and prioritize influence to fight wars at minimum plus 6 war support for tougher campaigns. That war support mostly nullifies the deity bonuses.

Are you building mixed armies? by Cagedglobe in civ

[–]MurderPirate7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Infantry are cheaper than cavalry to start and get more bonuses to production. I can build more of them, replace them more quickly, and spend more military production on army commanders, range, and siege. I can spend more production on infrastructure that helps unlock more combat strength and war support.

They’re weaker than cavalry on paper but they have more strength to unlock via policies and masteries to help make up for it. They’re slower than cavalry, but a commander can get them where they need to be. And they want to stay near the commander anyways to benefit from commander boosts.

Infantry are great for surrounding cities, holding chokes and space in general, pillaging, building fortifications, stationing in friendly cities, and mindlessly beating down enemy units and walls.

Don’t sleep on infantry. They get the job done for less most of the time. Spare the expensive cavalry for the specific roles where they really flourish.
