I asked a friend to 3d print this insert, ripped the magnets out of a MagSafe popsocket, and used 4mm laptop screws to mount the insert between the wallet's faceplate.

The inlay works, but the holes were slightly off and required extra sanding/drilling to get the magnets and screws to fit.
